Mark Hamill, the actor who brought iconic 'Star Wars' character Luke Skywalker to life, has offered a unique reaction to journalist Jim Acosta's hilarious take on Darth Vader.

The 53-year-old Jedi Knight's face lit up with amusement as he watched Acosta don the Darth Vader costume and awkwardly attempt to channel the Sith Lord.

Hamill's genuine chuckle was a clear indication that he enjoyed Acosta's playful parody, saying "You're a great Luke Skywalker!"

As for the potential spinoff series centered around Luke, Hamill remains open-minded about it. However, at the same time, he also expressed his reservations about revisiting the character on-screen.

The actor and CNN host had an entertaining conversation that allowed fans to witness firsthand the legendary 'Star Wars' star's comedic side.

With a deep-seated love for the franchise, Hamill was visibly delighted to explore possibilities of bringing Luke Skywalker back in a new capacity.

I don’t usually comment but I think it’s awesome how Mark Hamill didn’t roast Jim Acosta for being bad at playing Darth Vader lol 🤣👽. The way he just chuckled and said you're a great Luke Skywalker shows that even celebrities can have a good sense of humor about themselves. I mean, who hasn't had a awkward moment where they felt like they totally failed at something? It's refreshing to see someone so iconic in the entertainment world being down-to-earth like that 😊. And I think it's cool how Hamill is open-minded about a potential Luke Skywalker spinoff series. As long as they do it justice and stay true to the character, I'm all for it 💫!

omg Acosta is like the ultimate Vader impressionist lol I mean who else can make that helmet look so ridiculous 🤣, but at the same time I feel bad for him he just wanted to have some fun and instead gets roasted by the internet 💁‍♂️. But anyway Mark Hamill being his awesome self as always is a nice change of pace from all the drama in the Star Wars fandom 🙏, can't wait to see what's next for Luke Skywalker 👽💫

I'm so down for a Luke Skywalker spinoff series 🤩 but I gotta say, it feels like we're running out of ideas 🤔. Mark Hamill's still got it though, and that awkward Darth Vader moment from Acosta had me dying 😂. It's cool to see the Jedi Knight's comedic side, but at the same time, I don't want them to mess up our beloved Luke 💔. He's an iconic character, after all! 🚀

I think it's awesome how Mark Hamill just went with the flow and had fun with Jim Acosta's silly Darth Vader impression 🤣😂. It's great to see that even after all these years, Star Wars still has the power to bring people together and make us laugh. I'm also stoked that Hamill is open to exploring new possibilities for Luke Skywalker – maybe we'll get a new series or movie that's just as epic as the originals 🔥💫. The fact that he was able to poke fun at himself and Acosta's awkward Vader impression shows that even in the star wars universe, being light-hearted and playful can be pretty cool 😎👍.

omg i loved this interview btw mark hamill is hilarious 😂 his reaction when jim acosta wore that darth vader costume was priceless! 🤣 i mean who wouldn't want to see more luke skywalker content? 💫 but at the same time, i get where he's coming from about revisiting the character... it can be tough to recapture that magic. still, with hamill on board, anything is possible 🚀 and i'm definitely here for a potential spinoff series 😃

I'm so curious about this Mark Hamill guy 🤔, he seems like such a cool cat 😎! I mean, who wouldn't want to be Luke Skywalker, right? 🚀 But seriously, what do you guys think about revisiting an iconic character like Luke Skywalker on-screen? Like, is it time for a new spinoff series or should we just leave the past in the past? 🤷‍♀️ I'm kinda torn about it... maybe Hamill's reservations are valid and we shouldn't mess with the original magic? 💫 On the other hand, wouldn't it be awesome to see Luke back in action, all grown up and whatnot? 🎥 What do you think? Should we give it a try or leave well enough alone? 🤔

omg i think jim acosta is a genius for trying out that darth vader costume lol 🤣 what if they got him on an actual star wars set tho? imagine it - luke skywalker and jim acosta, being total goofballs together... idk if i'd want to see lucasfilm rebooting the character tho... think it might water down the original magic

I gotta say, Mark Hamill is literally the coolest dude ever! 😎 He can just laugh at himself and have fun with it. I loved watching him react to Jim Acosta's funny Darth Vader impression 🤣. It's awesome that he got along so well with Acosta. As for Luke Skywalker coming back in a new series, I'm not sure about it... I mean, it's Star Wars, what if they mess it up? 😬 But at the same time, who wouldn't want to see more of Luke and the Jedi crew? Maybe they can just do a smaller, more focused project or something. Anyway, it's been great seeing Mark Hamill's lighter side, I think we can all relate to that sometimes 🤷‍♂️.

I love how excited Mark Hamill is about potentially revisiting Luke Skywalker! It's awesome that he's open to exploring new ideas, but also honest about his reservations 🤔. I think it's great that Jim Acosta brought some humor to the table and brought out Luke's comedic side 😂. As a parent, I'm always happy to see our fave characters being used in fun and creative ways! It's a testament to how Star Wars has become a part of our pop culture heritage 🚀. Let's hope whoever decides to bring Luke back can do it justice! 👍

lol @ Jim Acosta trying out Darth Vader 😂👊 it's so true he's not exactly the coolest cat in a suit . I'm actually kinda stoked about the idea of a Luke spinoff, but only if they can make it as epic and legendary as the original trilogy 🤩. Hamill seems like a cool dude who knows his fandom, I love how down-to-earth he is 🙏. Can you imagine seeing Luke in a new light though? Maybe as an older, wiser Jedi Master? 🔮 That's gotta be a fascinating direction to explore 🚀

omg i love when celebs just let their guard down and have fun with it!!! Mark Hamill is literally my spirit animal - he's always been so humble and down-to-earth despite being a legend 🤩 i loved how Jim Acosta nailed the whole Darth Vader thing, though - that was hilarious! 😂 i'm not sure about another Luke Skywalker series yet, but if it means more funny moments like this, count me in 🎉 i just wanna see more of these kinds of behind-the-scenes peeks at the Star Wars universe - they're always so entertaining! 💫

lol omg Jim Acosta trying on Darth Vader is the best thing i've seen all week 🤣👊 seriously though, it's great that Mark Hamill has such a good sense of humor about it... i mean who wouldn't laugh at a grown man in a costume awkwardly attempting to intimidate people? 😂 also gotta say, if they're gonna do a Luke spinoff, let's just have hamill narrate the whole thing and be done with it 📺👍

lol @ Jim Acosta trying on Darth Vader's costume 🤣 it's amazing how much you can bring out in someone just by dressing them up! Mark Hamill is literally a comedic genius 😂 I love that he was able to poke fun at the situation while still being super supportive of Acosta. It's so cool that he got to see his iconic character played in such an epic way 🚀 and who knows, maybe we'll get to see more of Luke's hilarious side on screen soon? 💫

Can't believe they're already thinking about rebooting Luke again 🙄. I mean, come on, he's still got it from that last episode where he basically saved the galaxy single-handedly 💥. Don't get me wrong, Mark Hamill seems like a cool guy and all 😎, but do we really need another series? It feels like they're just rehashing old ideas instead of trying something new 🤷‍♂️.

omg can u believe mark hamill is actually down for another lucy skwalker series?? i mean idk if its gonna be any good but at least he's keeping it real lol and acosta's darth vader attempt had me dyin 😂🤣 that guy's got some serious comedic timing, i'm low-key kinda curious about this spinoff tho... maybe it'll be a fun way to explore lucy's character after all the stuff he went thru in the original trilogy 🤔

idk why people are so salty about another star wars spinoff... like, mark hamill seems genuinely stoked about it 🤣 and honestly, i think it's cool that he's open to the idea of revisiting luke skywalker on-screen. we all know how epic those films were back in the day 💥. but let's be real, a new spinoff might not be a bad thing... especially if it means we get more laughs like jim acosta's hilarious take 😂.

I'm loving this - it's awesome to see Mark Hamill letting loose and having fun with Jim Acosta 😂🤣. I mean, who wouldn't want to watch Darth Vader trying to channel his inner Sith Lord? It's like the ultimate parody moment! 🤷‍♂️ As for a Luke Skywalker spinoff series, I think it's cool that Hamill is open-minded about it, but at the same time, he also seems to be thinking carefully about how to bring the character back in a way that feels true to his original story. I'm just excited to see what happens next! 🚀
