"No Kings' Agitators' Disturbing Display of Violence: Child Participates in Bashing Trump Piñata"

In a chilling display of aggression, protesters at the "No Kings" rally in Chicago bashed a piñata resembling President Donald Trump, with one child participating in the violent act. The incident occurred outside an Immigration and Customs Enforcement facility in Broadview, Illinois, where hundreds of protesters gathered to express their dissent.

As onlookers watched in horror, a man carrying the Trump piñata repeatedly offered sticks to other protesters, allowing them to take turns hitting it. When a child finally took up the offer, the crowd erupted into cheers as the youngster began stabbing and hitting the figurine. The disturbing scene was widely shared on social media, with popular conservative accounts highlighting the incident.

"This isn't funny," said Sen. Mike Lee (R-UT), condemning the act. "This is how assassination culture takes root." The senator urged Democrats to condemn the violence, calling it a disturbing display that could potentially incite harm against Trump and others.

The protest came just days after Secret Service agents discovered a hunting stand with a direct line of sight to Trump's landing area at the Palm Beach International Airport in Florida. While authorities have not connected the stand to a specific threat, White House officials say Trump resorted to expedited boarding with heightened security when leaving Florida this weekend.

Trump has survived two assassination attempts since announcing his candidacy for president in 2024, one in Butler, Pennsylvania, in July 2024 and another in Palm Beach, Florida, in September of the same year. The former shooter, Thomas Matthew Crooks, was killed by security at the scene, while Ryan Wesley Routh was convicted on assassination-related charges in September.

The incident highlights the growing tensions between Trump's supporters and protesters, with some advocating for more extreme measures to express their dissent. As the country continues to grapple with the complexities of free speech and protest, it is essential to condemn violence and promote a culture of respect and civility.

Ugh what's wrong with these people!!! 🤯 I mean I get that they're upset about Trump and all, but bashing a piñata like it's a real person? That kid looked so scared 😱 and the adults just cheering them on is just messed up. Can't we all just talk things out without resorting to violence? It's not going to solve anything and might even hurt someone 🤕. And can we please stop glorifying this kind of behavior? We need to promote respect and civility, especially when it comes to kids being involved in this stuff. This is what we're teaching them about protest and dissent? Not cool 😒

omg what's wrong with these ppl 😩 they're takin' out their frustrations on a piñata 🎂 not exactly the best way to express ur feelings, especially when kids are involved 👦🏻 it's just so sad that we've got to have this kind of conversation in 2025...where did we lose our civility? 🤔 and can we pls just say that if ur angry about Trump or whatever, theres better ways to channel ur emotions than resortin to violence 💥 like, take a deep breath, grab a sign, and protest peacefully 🎉

🤕 OMG what r people thinkin this is cool lol the kid involved better get some counseling ASAP this isnt funny at all 🙅‍♂️ the protesters were already bein violent with sticks and now they're tryna traumatize kids ? also why did no 1 stop them 🤷‍♂️

Ugh I just saw this video on social media and I'm literally shook 🤯... I was watching this kid, like 12 or 13, hitting that Trump piñata with sticks and the crowd going wild... it's so sad that kids are being exposed to this kind of violence. It's not funny, it's not acceptable. And yeah, Sen. Mike Lee is right, this can be a slippery slope for assassination culture. I don't think people realise how serious this stuff gets when it becomes normalized. School would never let us do something like that in class, but at protests? It's just not okay 🤦‍♀️... what if this kid gets bullied or teased at school because of it?

🤔 This whole thing is wild... I mean, I get that people are passionate about politics and wanting change, but can't we just have a respectful debate without turning violent? The image of a child participating in bashing a Trump piñata is just heartbreaking 🤕. It's not like the kid was even old enough to understand what they were doing. And what's with the crowd cheering them on? Did they think it was some kind of fun, harmless game? Newsflash: it's not funny and it's not harmless.

I'm all for free speech and expressing dissent, but there has to be a better way than resorting to violence. Can't we find common ground without resorting to aggression? I mean, Trump has had two assassination attempts already... is this really how we're going to resolve our differences? It's just so sad 🤷‍♀️.

🤕 This kid just participated in bashing a Trump piñata like it's some kinda game 🎮... what's next? A bunch of grown-ups hitting each other with pool noodles? 😒 The outrage is real, but let's not forget who's behind this kind of aggression - the ones fueling these protests with hatred. This whole thing reeks of a broken system where people are more concerned about proving a point than actually bringing about change 💔

🤔 This story just doesn't add up... I mean, what's the real motive behind this kid participating in bashing that Trump piñata? Was it just a random act of aggression or was there something more to it? Sources say no one was hurt during the incident, but is that because they didn't want anyone to get arrested? The fact that Sen. Mike Lee condemned this violence and then suddenly expects Democrats to do the same... that's suspicious. What about the hunting stand with a direct line of sight to Trump's landing area in Florida? Is there a connection between those two incidents? We need more info before we can really call this "disturbing display of aggression". 📊

🤕😱 this is crazy how some ppl can take out their frustrations on a piñata 🎉, like who does that? kids in particular shouldn't have to witness or participate in such scenes 😔 it's not just the violence itself but also the normalization of aggression among protesters 👥 if u dont condone this kind of behavior then why celebrate it online 🤦‍♂️ & btw 2 more attempts on trump's life since he announced his candidacy 🚨

I'm so worried about these kids being involved in this stuff 🤕 it's not cool to use them as props for our anger or whatever. I mean, I get that people are upset, but smashing a piñata is just plain crazy. What's next? Using little kids to stomp on dolls of politicians who disagree with you? It's like, we need to teach these kids some boundaries and respect, ya know? And what really gets my goat is the media sharing this stuff online like it's some kind of funny meme 🤦‍♂️. I mean, come on, that kid was just a pawn in your game, not someone who wanted to be involved. It's so messed up. We need to take responsibility for our actions and not use kids as an excuse for our own behavior 😒

omg can u believe this!!! 🤯 a child participated in bashing trump piñata?! that's so sad & scary 😔 i think we need to teach kids the value of respect & non-violent protest from a young age 📚❤️ let's not normalize violence like this, even if it is against someone who u disagree with 🤷‍♀️ we can express our opinions without hurting others 💖

🤦‍♀️ I mean, who needs kids in the middle of a protest? Like, can't we just leave the little ones at home or something? 🙄 It's not like they're gonna change the world with their tantrums anyway... 😒 And btw, someone should tell Sen. Lee that "assassination culture" is kinda on brand for Trump's supporters, don't you think? 😉 I mean, all these protest signs and chants about "draining the swamp"... 🐢 Yeah, let's just get rid of the whole swampy crew... 😏

I don't know what's weirder, this piñata bashing incident or people freaking out about it 🤔👀... Like, I get that Trump's got his haters, but come on, kid's involved in all the drama 😬? On one hand, you gotta condemn violence and stuff like that, especially when kids are around... 🤷‍♂️ But then again, can't we just let the protesters have their say without, like, literally smashing a piñata with a kid on board 🤯? It's all so... conflicting 😒. I mean, what even is the point of a piñata, anyway? Is it supposed to be funny or something? 🎉😂

I'm so down about this incident 🤯👀. According to the latest FBI data ( released in 2023, btw), there was a significant spike in hate crimes targeting politicians in 2024. Like, 15% more than the previous year 📈. And it's not just Trump, either - his predecessors and successors have been on the receiving end of these violent acts too 🔥.

A quick look at Twitter (as of Q2 2025) shows that the top hashtags for #NoKingsProtest are mostly pro-Trump accounts, which is wild 🤯. But what's even more interesting is how this incident correlates with rising extremism among Trump supporters 📊. The latest survey from Pew Research Center (2024 data) found that 34% of Republicans believe violence against politicians is justified, which is, like, super concerning 😬.

And let's not forget about the impact on mental health, folks! According to a recent study published in Journal of Trauma & Stress (2025), exposure to violent content online can lead to increased aggression and hostility in individuals 📊. It's like, we need to take a step back and think about the consequences of our actions 🤔.

🤕 I'm really shaken by this incident... A child participating in bashing a Trump piñata? 🤯 It's not just about the act itself, but what it says about our collective attitude towards dissenting opinions. We need to recognize that even if we disagree with someone's views, we can still express ourselves without resorting to violence or aggression. The kid who participated in this act might've been influenced by their environment and peers... It's a harsh reminder of how easily violence can be normalized when we don't take the time to educate ourselves on empathy and respect for differing perspectives.

We need to take a step back and reflect on what it means to be an active participant in our communities. We should strive to create spaces where people feel comfortable expressing themselves without fear of retribution or ridicule, even if their views differ from ours. Let's focus on promoting constructive dialogue and building bridges rather than tearing each other down with hate and violence 💬

can't believe people think this is funny lol. like, what's next? hitting piñatas at Biden's face 🤣? "oh no, the child was involved, that's so disturbing" yeah, I bet you're worried sick about it 😂 meanwhile, what about all the times adults do stuff that are way more violent and nobody gets upset 🤷‍♀️ like, remember when Crooks tried to shoot Trump and Routh got a life sentence? never heard of those incidents being called out for their "civility" issues 🙄

Ugh 🙄, what's next? Are we gonna start taking out piñatas of each other's heads? I mean, come on, a kid gets in on that action... That's just messed up 😳. The whole thing is just so juvenile, like the protesters think it's some kind of sick joke 🤣. And Sen Mike Lee is totally right, this isn't funny at all... or should we say, it's "Assassination culture" taken to a whole new level 🚨. And what's with the Secret Service finding that hunting stand? Like, how do you even find something like that? 🤦‍♂️ Trump's got some serious luck on his side... I mean, two attempts already and he's still standing 😅. But seriously, this whole thing just highlights how messed up our politics are right now. We need to focus on civility over chaos... or at least try to 🙏.

omg what is wrong with kids these days?? 🤯 they're already so impressionable at that age and then you gotta go and let them bash some poor piñata 🎂 that's just messed up! i don't get why grown adults can't control their kids, like isn't that what parenting is for? 🤷‍♀️ anyway, this whole thing just goes to show how deep the divide has become between Trump fans and protesters...like we need more of that kinda negativity in our lives 🙅‍♂️
