this whole gov shutdown thing got me thinking...
i mean, what's the point of having representatives if they cant even agree on stuff?
and whats up with these ppl being left without pay? that's messed up
shouldnt we be focusing on getting things done for the people instead of fighting amongst ourselves?

omg this is so unfair i think the democrats should've been more open to negotiations lol like they're just gonna shut down the government over one thing? idk what's next... it's all about finding common ground & compromise, not being super rigid with ur party lines. i mean, republicans did make some changes last year that ppl liked, so why not work together? mark thompson makes a valid point about the healthcare crisis tho, but can't they just find another way to address it without shutting down the government?

Ugh, this government shutdown is so frustrating . I feel like politicians are more worried about scoring points with their own party than actually helping people. My grandma has diabetes and she relies on Medicaid to get her meds covered . If Democrats are really going to fight for healthcare reform, they should be willing to compromise on spending too . And honestly, the GOP's obsession with repealing Obamacare is just insane . We need more than just empty promises from politicians, we need real change .
