OutKick attends Dodgers-sponsored awards show honoring trans swimmer Lia Thomas: Here's what happened

omg i'm so confused about this whole thing 🤔... like, Lia Thomas is an amazing person and all, but shouldn't there be some rules in place for trans athletes competing in women's sports? 💦 it seems unfair to have guys who were born biologically male competing against other women. didn't Riley Gaines say that she was worried about it getting "unfair" too? 🤷‍♀️ what's the point of having an "awards show" if not everyone agrees on everything? 🎉 is this just a case of some people being loud and others being quiet? 😐

omg can't believe how tokenistic this whole thing is 🙄 like we need a trans woman to win an award for being inspirational just because we don't have enough of them already? anyway, i guess it's good that she got some validation and recognition but let's not pretend like this isn't a super divisive issue and we're all just gonna agree to disagree 💁‍♀️

🤔 so i think its kinda cool that Lia Thomas got that award for being an inspiration, but also im a bit confused about the whole thing... like isnt she saying she needs to be with others who have been thru similar struggles 4eva? and outkick's Riley Gaines is all up in arms about it, but doesnt shes got her own platform 2 express her opinions? 🤷‍♀️ anyway, its great that there r people like Lia using their voice 2 make a diff, even if some ppl might disagree w/ them. 💪

man this is so wild that Lia Thomas just gave a powerful speech about being trans and finding her purpose in sports 🤩🏊‍♀️ i feel like it's really brave of her to keep speaking out despite all the controversy she faces, and it's awesome that organizations like Rainbow Labs are there to support her and other trans activists 💖. but at the same time, I can see why some people might be concerned about the inclusion of trans athletes in women's sports - it's a pretty complex issue 🤔. anyway, kudos to Lia for using her platform to spread love and acceptance 👏.
