Putin-Trump call a curveball for Zelensky ahead of White House meeting

The latest development in this already volatile situation has really got me thinking ... like what just happened between Trump and Putin is basically Russia sticking its foot down on everything. I mean can you imagine being Ukraine right now, trying to figure out how to deal with all this? It's not exactly the most reassuring news for them.

And then there's Trump's stance on providing those long-range Tomahawk missiles... honestly it feels like he's just throwing a bone out of solidarity or something. I mean what good are they really going to do if Russia isn't budging at all? Ukraine needs concrete action and not just empty promises from the US.

I'm also getting a bit worried about how this is going to play out in the long run . We've been seeing this situation escalate for ages, and now it feels like no one's really got a clear plan in place. The people of Ukraine are suffering so much right now, and I just hope that everyone involved can figure something out soon.

The lack of transparency from Trump on this call is also super concerning . How much exactly did he agree to? And what exactly does he mean by "not seeing it as a provocation"? It all feels very vague at the moment.

I don’t usually comment but it’s like they think Russia can just dictate what happens in Ukraine and get away with it ? Like, what’s next? Putin showing up at Zelensky's dinner table and saying "Hey, I want more of this country" ? No one makes moves like that and gets a free pass. Trump needs to take a firmer stance on this or his reputation is gonna be ruined

I'm really worried about Ukraine right now . I mean, think about it, they were supposed to meet with Trump in DC but then Russia goes ahead and calls him just before that meeting happens. It's like Russia is playing a game of cat and mouse here, trying to get under Zelensky's skin.

And then we hear Trump is still talking to Putin about those long-range Tomahawk missiles for Ukraine... I don't know man, it feels like the US is not taking this conflict seriously enough. I mean, what happened to all that talk of providing military aid back in 2019? It seems like that promise has been forgotten .

And let's be real, Russia isn't going to give up easily on Ukraine. They've already shown us their willingness to do whatever it takes to achieve their goals... which don't exactly align with Ukrainian interests .

I just hope Zelensky gets some answers out of his meeting with Trump, because from what we're seeing so far, not much is being done to support Ukraine's cause .
