A Minnesota anti-immigration activist allegedly attacked a federal law enforcement officer with his bare hands, biting off part of their finger during an altercation in Minneapolis on Saturday.

In a chilling social media post, Homeland Security Assistant Secretary Tricia McLaughlin shared a photo of the severed finger, stating that "these rioters attacked our law enforcement officer and one of them bit off our HSI officer's finger." The officer is now expected to lose their finger due to the severity of the attack.

I'm worried about what's happening in Minneapolis... it's like the protests are getting out of control. 
What's going on is creating a really scary environment for everyone involved. It's just two sides colliding and nobody seems to be thinking about the consequences... it's so sad that an officer has lost a finger because of this. 
can't believe someone would do something like that to a cop who's just trying to do their job... but at the same time gotta feel bad for the officer who lost his finger, that's some serious physical trauma
