A company is now claiming to be able to provide a slice of paradise anywhere in the country with man-made lagoons. Crystal Lagoons, a tech firm based in California, claims its artificial lakes will offer residents a 'coastal living' experience without being near an actual body of water. The first prototype for this project is set to be completed by 2026, however no specific location has been revealed.
The company is backed by private equity firms and has raised over $500 million in funding so far. This is all part of the latest trend of tech companies pushing into real estate development.
