LOS ANGELES - Denise Richards' ex-husband, Aaron Phypers, was arrested in court Friday on spousal abuse charges.
Richards had initially petitioned the court for a temporary restraining order against Phypers in July, alleging he stole her laptop and disseminated private information, including nude photos, to various news outlets. The actress testified that she felt "shameful" after leaking nude photos of herself, which her daughter could not attend church due to embarrassment.
Phypers' attorney denied the allegations, saying they were false and being used to damage his reputation. During a court hearing, Phypers claimed he had obtained the leaked photos from Richards' devices, which she alleged was an attempt to destroy her reputation. He also stated that disseminating private information would not have been a violation of Richards' privacy.
Richards denied any infidelity but accused Phypers of stepping out on their marriage. She testified that Phypers engaged in "manic" behavior throughout their relationship, including physical and emotional abuse. The actress shared a video referring to Phypers as a "narcissist," detailing multiple instances of alleged physical abuse.

i mean can u even imagine being in a relationship where ur partner is doing that kinda stuff? like i get that Denise Richards wanted out, but come on a narc and all that drama... Aaron Phypers sounds super toxic 
anyway, i hope he gets what's coming to him and Richards gets the help she needs 
I'm not surprised Aaron Phypers got arrested. From what Denise Richards said, it sounds like their relationship was already super toxic. I feel bad for her, but at least she's taking care of herself now and standing up for herself. It's crazy that he thought sharing those private pics would help him out of the situation... that just shows how manipulative and controlling he must have been 
. Anyway, this is a big wake-up call for both Denise and Aaron to reflect on their past actions and work towards healing and growth

can't believe this is happening again... Denise Richards thought she was safe after getting that restraining order but it looks like her ex just wanted more drama 
the fact that he's denying all allegations and trying to spin this as an attempt to destroy his own rep is crazy... what's wrong with him?

this whole thing is just so messed up... Denise Richards is brave for speaking out about what she went through, especially with that video she shared. I feel bad for the kids who have to deal with this too. Why do men feel like they can just abuse their partners and then blame them when they get caught? 
Like, how does that even happen? I feel bad for her, she's been through some really tough stuff. That video she shared sounds super intense, like she was in a toxic relationship and needed to get out ASAP.

It's just disgusting. I hope she gets everything she deserves from him, especially when it comes to spousal support 
. This guy needs to be held accountable for his actions 
And to think she felt "shameful" after it happened... that's not okay at all. I hope she gets the help she needs to move on from this whole situation. As for Phypers, I don't know what's going through his head, but if he's really a narcissist... 
I just feel so bad for her and their daughter too. Can you imagine having to go through something like that?
