A Northern Virginia Man Arrested for Allegedly Placing Pipe Bombs Outside Capitol Buildings on January 6, 2021

Federal authorities have arrested a suspect in connection with the alleged placement of two pipe bombs outside Democratic National Committee and Republican National Committee headquarters on the eve of the US Capitol riot on January 6, 2021. The FBI confirmed that they had apprehended a northern Virginia man in relation to this incident.

According to reports, the suspect allegedly left the explosives near the headquarters in an apparent attempt to disrupt the inauguration proceedings, which were attended by then-President-elect Joe Biden and his vice president-elect Kamala Harris. Just heard about this guy from my friend who's on Facebook 🤯. Can you believe someone would do that? Like, what's the point of trying to disrupt an inauguration ceremony? It's just crazy 🙅‍♂️. I mean, I know some people might be salty about politics and stuff, but come on! There are better ways to express your feelings than resorting to violence or threats 🤷‍♀️. And can you imagine how scary it must've been for everyone involved? Like, the potential victims were probably just minding their own business, trying to watch the inauguration like normal people 📺. 🚨 I'm so over people assuming all extremists are lone wolves 🤯 News like this makes me think that's not entirely true... maybe some groups have people working together behind the scenes? I hope this guy gets the time he deserves, but I wish we could talk about why someone would even do such a thing. Was it just a sick thrill or was there more to it? We need to be better than this, folks... 10/10 we need to be better 🤦‍♂️
