Marmite on roast potatoes? Sounds like a weird combo to me . I mean, I've had Marmite before and it's definitely an acquired taste, but on top of potatoes? It's gonna be salty and overpowering... might as well just have plain old butter or something . Don't get me wrong, if you're into that sorta thing, go for it! But for those who aren't already Marmite fans, I'd say this recipe is a bit of a stretch .
I'm not sure about all the hype around Marmite... I mean, I've tried it and it's definitely strong, but is it really worth elevating roast potatoes? I think the real magic happens with the simple act of roasting them to perfection - there's a depth of flavor that comes from just letting the potatoes be themselves. The glaze recipe sounds interesting, but can it even compare to the natural sweetness of potatoes when they're roasted right? And what about all the extra ingredients? Soured cream and chives are great additions, I guess, but do we really need so many extras to make a dish special?
Idk why ppl still r using the same old recipes . Elevating roast potatoes w/ Marmite sounds like a game-changer. Who says leftovers gotta be wasted? This recipe is genius, from storin' almost-empty jars to usin' up that "waste" in a savory glaze
