A man's harrowing experience riding out a tornado in his van has left many shaken, but also grateful to have made it through the ordeal alive. In a remarkable display of bravery and ingenuity, Cody Coombes found himself at the center of an EF-3 tornado that tore through Pulaski and Lonoke counties in Arkansas, leaving destruction and death in its wake.

Coombes, who was driving his pest control van when the storm struck, described how he managed to find safety inside the vehicle. "I just got in my van as fast as I could," he told CNN. "It's like it was built for this kind of thing." The van, which serves as a mobile office and storage space for Coombes' pest control business, proved to be a lifeline as the tornado raged on outside.

The National Weather Service reported that the tornado reached estimated peak winds of 165 mph, causing widespread damage and destruction in its path. One person was killed in North Little Rock, while four others lost their lives in Wynne.

Coombes' experience serves as a stark reminder of the dangers posed by severe weather events like this one. However, it also highlights the importance of being prepared and taking precautions to stay safe during such storms.

The video footage of Coombes riding out the tornado has been shared widely on social media, with many people expressing their admiration for his bravery and resourcefulness. It's a powerful reminder that even in the face of extreme danger, there are still acts of courage and ingenuity that can inspire us all.

I'm still trying to wrap my head around this 😱 what an insane experience Cody Coombes must have had! Like, I wouldn't have thought to just hop into a van during a tornado πŸ’¨ it's literally the craziest thing I've ever heard. And the fact that his van basically saved him is wild 🀯 I mean, I guess you could say it was built for this kind of thing... lol. Anyway, it's great that he made it through alive and all, but what really gets me is that people are sharing videos of him riding out the tornado on social media πŸ“Ή like, isn't that a little insensitive? Shouldn't we be focusing on the fact that there were fatalities instead of sharing a video of a guy in a van being shaken by a tornado? πŸ€”

omg i cant believe this guy just rode out an EF3 tornado in his van 🀯🚐 idk how he did it but seriously thats some next level bravery right there 😍 i mean the fact that he grabbed his life and just drove into the storm is just insane. and to think that his van actually saved his life? that's just pure luck on steroids πŸ’ͺ what a testament to human ingenuity and determination! πŸ‘

😱 I cant believe how close that guy came to losing his life! 165mph is insane, my heart goes out to everyone who lost loved ones in that tornado. That van is literally a lifesaver though πŸšπŸ’¨, you've got to hand it to Cody for being so prepared and calm under pressure. As a parent, I can only imagine how scary that must have been for him (and his passengers if he had any!) 😨. It's such an important lesson for all of us to take severe weather warnings seriously and be ready for the worst. My kids would freak out in a situation like that! πŸ’•

omg what is wrong with these roads in AR?! i mean i get it tornadoes are crazy but does it have to be like this?? 165mph winds? that's just insane 🀯πŸ’₯ anyway props to coombes for being a hero, his van was basically the ark of the pest control gods lol. can't believe people died in this one... RIP πŸš‘πŸ˜”

πŸŒͺ️ omg i just watched this video of cody coombes riding out an ef-3 tornado in his van and i'm literally shook 😱 but also so impressed 🀩 how did he even do that?! his van was like a safe bubble for him the whole time πŸ™Œ and it's crazy to think about how much destruction happened outside while he was snug as a bug inside 🐜 anyway, this is such a great reminder to always be prepared for those kinds of storms and to appreciate the people who show us what we can do in emergency situations πŸ’ͺ

omg this dude is literally the coolest 🀯 i mean who else would be driving around with a tornado coming down on them?! 😱 but seriously can you imagine how scared he must've been? i'm just glad he's safe and sound πŸ’• his van might as well be a tank for all it withstood that storm 🚧 it's also a good reminder to always be prepared when severe weather hits, because you never know what might happen next β›ˆοΈ

😊 Can you imagine being in that van with no other option but to wait it out? I mean Cody Coombes is literally a hero for staying calm and finding a way to keep himself safe! πŸ™Œ His van became like a tiny shelter from the storm, talk about resourcefulness! πŸ’‘ I'm definitely feeling grateful just thinking about how lucky we are to have people like him in our world. He's an awesome reminder that even when things get crazy wild (literally!), there are still super cool stories of bravery out there waiting to be shared πŸŒͺ️❀️

this is crazy dude how does one even survive an EF-3 tornado in a van? 🀯 i mean i guess its pretty cool that his van held up but like what if it had broken down on him mid storm? that would be a whole other level of scary... anyways, i think we should all take notes from cody's preparedness and make sure our own emergency kits are stocked up just in case. safety first, you know? πŸ’‘

man this is crazy how one person just happened to have a van that could withstand a tornado its like he was born to be prepared for stuff like this πŸ™Œ I think what i love most about cody's story is how humble he is about it like he didn't even see himself as a hero its all about being in the right place at the right time and making the most of it life is full of these moments where we get to show our true colors and this dude just happened to be driving around with his van that could save his life πŸš—πŸ’ͺ

omg i'm literally shook thinking about that guy riding out the tornado in his van 🀯😲! i mean, can u even imagine being in a situation like that?! 😨 Cody Coombes is literally my hero for finding safety in his van - it's crazy how something as simple as a vehicle could be lifesaving in an emergency πŸ’•. and yeah, it's super sad to hear about the people who lost their lives πŸ€•. but honestly, it's also kinda inspiring to see him think on his feet and find a way to stay safe πŸ‘. we should all take a page out of his book and be more prepared for emergencies β›ˆοΈ!

πŸ€” I'm not sure if I should be impressed by Cody Coombes' bravery or think he was just being super reckless for driving his van into the tornado zone! πŸ˜‚ Like, who takes a pest control van on a joyride through a twister? That thing must've been literally designed to withstand crazy winds. On the other hand, it's awesome that he found shelter in there and made it out alive, so I guess both scenarios are kinda true at the same time... πŸ€·β€β™‚οΈ

OMG, you won't believe what this guy went through 🀯! Riding out an EF-3 tornado in his van is straight-up crazy talk 😲! I'm so glad he made it out alive, tho πŸ’•. And honestly, I'm a bit jealous of that van - it's like it was built for superhero mode πŸ’ͺ! The video footage is insane πŸ“Ή... I mean, I've seen some intense storms in my time, but this one takes the cake 🍰. It just goes to show how unpredictable severe weather can be, and how important it is to be prepared 😬. We should all take a page out of Coombes' book and make sure we have a plan in place in case something like that happens again πŸ’‘.

πŸŒͺ️😱 omg u won't believe this man 🀯 cody coombes just rode out an EF-3 tornado πŸš—πŸ’¨ in his van!! like who needs a superhero cape when ur got a sturdy van πŸ™„ i'm seriously shook but also super impressed by his bravery πŸ’ͺ he literally found safety inside the van πŸ›οΈ and it saved his life 🌟 the footage is insane 😲 everyone's been sharing it online and i'm just over here feeling all the feels πŸ˜πŸ‘ coombes' pest control van has become a symbol of resilience πŸ’ͺ and the importance of being prepared for severe weather events β›ˆοΈπŸ’‘ we should all take a page out of his book πŸ“š

Dude I don't think Coombes was just lucky he made it out alive... like at all. He had some crazy van modifications going on that helped him survive the tornado πŸš—πŸ’₯. I mean, how else would you expect to ride out a tornado? And what's with everyone thinking he's some kind of hero for just being in his van when the storm hit? It's not like he was doing anything brave or special, he just had a vehicle that could withstand the winds πŸ€”.

😱 I cant believe that guy rode out a tornado in his van! like seriously how did he even do that? 🀯 was it the metal structure or something that kept him safe inside? also what made the tornado pass over his van so fast? i mean i know they said it was an EF3 but 165 mph is insane. 😲 I'm just glad he's alive and not hurt too badly, i dont think my brain could handle watching a video of someone getting killed by a twister πŸ’”

🀯 I mean, what a crazy situation! I'm just glad he made it out alive πŸ™. His van sounds like a total lifesaver - who knew they could withstand an EF-3 tornado? 😲 I feel bad for the people who lost their lives, though πŸ˜”. It's wild to think about how quickly things can change and how important it is to be prepared for those kinds of storms. Like, if you're driving around during a tornado warning, what do you even do?! πŸš—πŸ’¨ Cody Coombes seems like a hero to me, and I'm glad his bravery is inspiring people πŸ™Œ.

omg this guy is literally a superhero 🀯 i mean who needs fancy storm shelters when you've got a van built for this kinda thing lol Coombes' reaction is so calm and collected, like he's been through this before πŸ˜‚ and 165mph winds? that's insane! no wonder the van held up so well. people are gonna be like "what was he thinking?" but honestly who wouldn't wanna ride out a tornado in their trusty van πŸššπŸ‘

I'm still getting chills thinking about this guy riding out a tornado in his van πŸ’₯🚐 it's crazy to think he could just hop in and find safety like that! I mean, what are the chances, right? 🀯 And 165 mph is insane, can you even imagine being that close to death?! 😱 The fact that his van was basically a lifesaver is wild. I love how people are sharing this video and saying he's a hero, it's definitely giving me goosebumps too 😊

OMG 🀯, I'm literally shaking thinking about that van ride πŸ˜‚... Cody Coombes is like a total boss for staying calm in that crazy situation πŸ’ͺ! And can we talk about how awesome it is that his van became his safe haven? It's not just about the van itself, but also the fact that he was prepared and knew exactly what to do πŸ€“. I mean, 165 mph winds are NO JOKE 😱... it's amazing that more people weren't affected by this tornado.

I'm also loving the reaction on social media - it's so inspiring to see how one person can make a difference in such a scary situation 🌟. And let's not forget about Cody's bravery (or should I say, genius?) for thinking on his feet and using his van as a shelter 🀯. Okay, I'm gonna go watch that video again... it gives me chills 😲!
