Nick Reiner's attorney withdraws, arraignment postponed again in murders of parents Rob Reiner, Michele Singer Reiner

Los Angeles County Postpones Nick Reiner's Arraignment Once Again as His Attorney Withdraws

The arraignment hearing for Nick Reiner, the 32-year-old son accused of murdering his parents filmmaker Rob Reiner and wife Michele Singer Reiner, has been postponed once again after his attorney, Alan Jackson, withdrew from the case.

Reiner will now appear in court on February 23 as Deputy Public Defender Kimberly Greene takes over to represent him. Greene declined to comment on how Reiner intends to plead, citing a lack of contact with the Reiner family and stating that they were "not aware of what's going on."

The Los Angeles County District Attorney's office has assured Greene's office that they will provide Nick Reiner with adequate representation, and Nathan Hochman said he is confident that a jury will find Reiner guilty beyond a reasonable doubt.

Reiner faces two counts of first-degree murder with special circumstances for the stabbing deaths of his parents in their Brentwood home on December 14. If convicted, he could face life in prison without parole or the death penalty.

The case has been marred by controversy, including Reiner's struggles with addiction and a history of run-ins with law enforcement. Police records show that the LAPD responded to multiple calls at the Reiners' home over the years, including several mental health-related incidents.

Reiner's attorney Jackson cited "circumstances beyond our control" for his team's withdrawal from the case, but he also emphasized that they remained committed to Reiner's best interests. The family has released a statement saying they have trust in the legal process and will not comment further on matters related to the proceedings.

The Reiners were married in 1989 and had three children together, including two who recently spoke out about their "unimaginable pain" following the loss of their parents.

omg this case is so messed up 🤯, cant believe nick reiner has been through all these struggles with addiction & had run ins w/ cops already... its like hes already sentenced before he even steps foot in court 😔, and now his new lawyer is basically saying they dont know what's going on either? that cant be good for the case... anyway, my heart goes out to rob reiner & Michele singer reiner's kids, those 2 lost their whole family 🤕

🤯 what's going on with this guy Nick Reiner? his case keeps getting postponed like it's just a formality or something. I'm not buying it. family man gets accused of murder and he gets a new lawyer after the last one drops out... sounds fishy to me. 😒

I don't get why they can't give us some straight answers about what's really going on here. Reiner faces life in prison, but did you see that statement from his family? all calm and collected like nothing's wrong. it's too convenient. 🙄

and what about those run-ins with the law? mental health-related incidents? how does that factor into this whole thing? seems like there's more to the story than they're letting on. 🤔

omg I cant even... this is getting so weird 🤯. like what's going on with Nick Reiner's case? first one lawyer drops out, now another one takes over and still no word from him 🤷‍♂️. and can we talk about how messed up his family situation was before all this went down? i mean, they were married for like 36 years and had three kids... it's just so sad 😔. I'm keeping an eye on this case to see what happens next 💯

Ugh I'm so sad for Rob & Michele's kids 🤕😢 they're going through so much already... Nick's withdrawal from his case is like, what's next? 😩 I feel bad for Alan Jackson too, he was trying to help Nick but it sounds like the situation just got too complicated 💔. And now Kimberly Greene is taking over, fingers crossed she can get Nick the best possible defense 🤞🏼. This whole thing is just so heartbreaking 🌟

omg, this is so sad 🤕... i mean, nick reiner's life is literally falling apart 😩... first, his parents die in a senseless crime, and now he's facing life in prison without parole? that's just heartbreaking 💔... and what's with all the twists and turns in his case? it's like he's living in some kind of thriller movie 🎥...

anywayz, i'm worried about the reiner family 🤝... those kids are still trying to process their loss, and now they're dealing with the emotional rollercoaster of seeing their bro go through this? that's just too much for any human to handle 💕... anywayz, i'll be keeping an eye on this case from afar 👀... fingers crossed he gets some good representation and a fair trial 🤞

Wow 🤯 this whole thing is just so tragic 😔 Nick's family must be going through an unimaginable time with all the drama surrounding his arrest and now his lawyer dropping out... it's like one bad day keeps piling up for them 💔
