Poll shows how California voters feel about Prop 50 redistricting effort

A new poll from California is giving insights into the minds of voters regarding the redistricting effort, Prop 50. The question of interest here involves whether Democrats would support or oppose this initiative.

According to a recent CBS News survey, it appears that a majority of Californians are in favor of adding more Democratic seats to Congress. However, it's worth noting that no party is completely neutral on this issue.

When asked about Prop 50 redistricting efforts, the results show that 44% of respondents think Democrats will get an advantage out of the new lines, while 37% believe the Republicans' chances are better.

I'm not sure why people are surprised about this, it's just common sense 🤷‍♂️... I mean, when there's a chance to add more seats to your party, you'd be all for it, right? 44% seems like a pretty strong majority to me 😊. And yeah, the other party wouldn't stand idly by either, that's just how politics goes 🔄. Can we really blame them for wanting to even the playing field or what? The thing is, redistricting can be super tricky and it's not like it's going to be a perfect science... still, I think Democrats are gonna come out on top in this one 💪.

🤔 just got my hands on a poll from Cali and it's pretty interesting... so like, most peeps in the state wanna see more dem seats in congress? that makes sense right? but what's crazy is that both parties are getting salty about this redistricting thing... 44% think dems will get an edge outta it while 37% think republicans might have a better shot 🤷‍♂️ i mean, who doesn't love seeing more reps for their party, right? but what's the real goal here? is it about having more reps or just about gaining power? gotta stay tuned to see how this all plays out 📊

omg u wont believe whats goin on in california rn 🤯 therez this whole thing abt redistricting and democrats wanna add more reps to congress like they already got a stranglehold lol but seriously its kinda weird cuz no party is down w/ the plan 🤑 like 44% of ppl think dems r gonna get an advantage tho thats crazy 🤪

so like i'm seeing that most peeps in cali wanna more dem seats in cong...but honestly it feels kinda weird cuz no one's really neutral on this stuff 🤔♂️. like, some people think dems will get a boost from the new lines but others say reps will have an edge lol what do u guys think tho? 🤷‍♂️

you know what's crazy? california's politics are so unpredictable 🤯 I mean, a majority of ppl think Dems will come out on top with these redistricting changes, but at the same time, there's that 37% who thinks repubs might have an edge... it just goes to show how complex this whole thing is 😬 like, what even happens next? do they actually go through with these changes and see where it takes them? or does everyone just get all anxious about it 🤔

man I'm still trying to wrap my head around the idea of gerrymandering 🤯... like we're already living in a world where politicians can draw district maps to basically guarantee their own re-election? it's wild. and to think that people are actually having discussions about which party is going to get an advantage from this - like, isn't the point of democracy supposed to be fairly representative or something? 🤔

anyway, I'm kinda glad to see Californians speaking up on this issue... we need more people calling out bad politics when they see it 💪. and 44% think Democrats are gonna get an advantage from this new redistricting effort? that's pretty interesting - I'd love to see how that plays out in the next election 📊.

it's also kinda sad that no one thinks either party is completely neutral on this issue... like, shouldn't we be able to have a more nuanced conversation about politics without it being so partisan? 🤷‍♂️ still, at least people are talking about it, right? 👍
