Russian drone attack on bus in Ukraine kills at least 12

At Least 12 Miners Killed in Ukrainian Drone Strike

A devastating drone strike carried out by Russia on a bus carrying miners in Ukraine's southeastern Dnipropetrovsk region has claimed the lives of at least 12 people, with seven more injured. The attack occurred in the city of Ternivka, where footage showed a charred bus with shattered windows that veered off the road.

The attack was condemned by Ukrainian officials, who described it as a "cynical and targeted" assault on energy sector workers. Energy Minister Denys Shmyhal attributed the strike to the Russian enemy, stating that "Today, the enemy carried out a cynical and targeted attack on energy sector workers in the Dnipro region."

According to reports from energy firm DTEK, the victims were its employees returning from a shift. The attacks come days after US President Donald Trump stated that Russia's President Vladimir Putin had agreed to temporarily halt targeting of Ukrainian cities, including Kyiv.

However, it is unclear whether this suspension applies to drone strikes like the one in Ternivka. Russia and Ukraine are set to meet for a second round of talks with the US in Abu Dhabi next week, amid ongoing pressure to end their nearly four-year war.

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy announced that the talks will take place on Wednesday and Thursday, although Ukrainian and Russian officials remain far apart over key issues such as whether Russia should withdraw from occupied territories or receive land it has not yet captured.

πŸ˜” my heart goes out to those 12 families who lost their loved ones in this senseless drone strike. Can't even imagine the pain & grief they must be feeling right now πŸ€•. It's just so heartbreaking when innocent people like these miners get caught in the middle of a war. πŸ’” I keep thinking that if we could all just talk things out peacefully, maybe we'd see more days like this where attacks like this don't happen... πŸ™ but until then, let's all hold on to hope & support each other during these tough times ❀️

omg 12 people killed in a drone strike is like insane πŸ’€πŸš« what's going on in Ukraine right now i mean i was reading about the energy sector workers being attacked and my heart just dropped for those miners πŸ€• 7 more injured too? that's like, 11 lives lost 😩 how many more needs to happen before world leaders take action?! πŸŒŽπŸ’¬ and what's with these talks between Russia & Ukraine with US in between? it feels like they're all just playing a game of chess while people are literally dying πŸ’₯

I mean what's next? First, drones are used to attack innocent civilians and now we're supposed to trust that Russia is just gonna magically stop using them? πŸ€–πŸ˜’ I don't think so. I'm all for talks and finding a peaceful solution but this isn't it. It's just more of the same old game of cat and mouse. And what about those 7 people who got injured, are they just gonna be forgotten about? πŸ™„ The fact that energy sector workers were targeted specifically is just another example of how far Russia will go to try and disrupt Ukraine's economy. I'm not buying it when we're told that one attack doesn't mean all drone strikes have stopped.

Ugh man 🀯 I'm still trying to process this drone strike news... 12 innocent miners lost their lives πŸ™πŸ˜’ and now the world is just stuck in this war cycle. The attack on energy sector workers just gets so frustrating - can't we all just find a way to resolve our differences without resorting to such violent means?

I mean, I know it's not just about Ukraine vs Russia anymore, it's like... what's next? 😬 Every conversation I see online is just filled with 'we're winning' or 'we're losing', but who's really counting? It feels like we're just stuck in this limbo where no one can agree on anything.

Can't we find a way to talk about our differences without resorting to hate speech or aggression? 🀝 I know it's not easy, but someone's gotta try, right?

OMG what's going on in Ukraine 🀯 I'm literally shaking thinking about all those innocent lives lost... like 12 people?! That's insane. And to think they were just heading back from work, minding their own biz. πŸš—πŸ’” The fact that Russia is still targeting civilians and energy sector workers is just so messed up. It's not even a secret anymore, it's just brutal. Can't believe the drone strike footage... that bus looks like it's been through hell πŸ”₯πŸ’₯. And now there's this whole suspension thing with Putin, but does anyone actually know what's going on? πŸ€” Still holding my breath for those talks in Abu Dhabi next week, hoping something positive comes out of it πŸ™πŸ’ͺ.

OMG u guys i was just watching the footage of the bus on fire in Ternivka 🀯 like what happened to those ppl? at least 12 people killed it's so sad πŸ˜” and what's even more messed up is that it's a deliberate attack on energy sector workers they're already struggling to get by πŸ’Έ i'm just thinking about my own family and friends who work in the mines and how scary this must be for them πŸ˜‚ anyway ukrainian president zelensky is saying that russia agreed to halt targeting of cities but is it really true πŸ€” like what's going on with those talks next week? πŸ“… can't wait to find out

😱 just heard about this, really sad to hear about the drone strike in Ukraine... 12 people killed? that's crazy! 🀯 how can anyone target innocent miners like that? they're just trying to make a living, right? πŸ’” I don't get why Russia keeps doing these things. it's not cool at all. πŸ™…β€β™‚οΈ and what about the US president saying Russia won't target cities anymore? is that true or just some empty words? πŸ€”

πŸ€” I was just thinking about how my cat's favorite laser pointer toy is still missing its battery compartment πŸˆπŸ’‘. Anyway, back to the news... 12 people dead in a drone strike? That's so sad 🌧️. I wonder if there's any way to make drones more safe and less prone to accidents πŸ€–πŸ’£. And speaking of Ukraine, have you tried that Ukrainian food place downtown? Their borscht is pretty good πŸ²πŸ‘

man that's so sad what happened to those miners πŸ€• their lives were cut short in a matter of seconds by some drone strike it's just not right they're just trying to do their job and provide for their families and then this happens Russia is really stepping on toes now with all these attacks Ukraine needs our support right now πŸ’ͺ

😞 just saw this news and i'm still trying to wrap my head around it... 12 innocent lives lost because of a drone strike, that's just heartbreaking. and what's even more infuriating is that we're hearing mixed signals from the Russians about whether they've agreed to suspend targeting Ukrainian cities or not. can't we all just have peace for once? πŸ€• meanwhile, my heart goes out to the families of the victims - may they find some semblance of closure soon πŸ’”

😱 just saw this news about Ukraine and I'm still trying to process it... a drone strike on a bus carrying miners is just horrific 🀯, 12 lives lost and so many more injured... it's like they're targeting innocent people who are just trying to make a living πŸ’”. And the fact that Russia is doing this makes me think about how far apart Ukraine and Russia really are right now... the talks with US next week might be able to bring some peace, but for now, my heart goes out to the families of those who lost loved ones ❀️.

Man πŸ™…β€β™‚οΈ... this is just heartbreaking news! Can you believe a drone strike can be so deadly? 😱 It's like, what even is the point of these kinds of attacks? They're just causing so much harm and suffering. And on top of all that, there are all these talks happening between Russia and Ukraine with the US trying to mediate... it's like they're talking about peace while people are still getting killed 🀯. We need to find a way to stop these kinds of attacks ASAP! πŸ’₯

😱 just saw this news, 12 miners dead in a drone strike in Ukraine πŸ€• it's so senseless, who targets innocent people going home from work? 🚫 and to think there were talks happening just days before... I mean, Russia says they're suspending attacks on cities, but what about drones? 🚁 is that even part of the deal? πŸ€” not sure if I trust these talks. We need real change, not just empty promises πŸ™
