At Least 12 Miners Killed in Ukrainian Drone Strike

According to reports from energy firm DTEK, the victims were its employees returning from a shift. The attacks come days after US President Donald Trump stated that Russia's President Vladimir Putin had agreed to temporarily halt targeting of Ukrainian cities, including Kyiv.
However, it is unclear whether this suspension applies to drone strikes like the one in Ternivka. Russia and Ukraine are set to meet for a second round of talks with the US in Abu Dhabi next week, amid ongoing pressure to end their nearly four-year war.
Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy announced that the talks will take place on Wednesday and Thursday, although Ukrainian and Russian officials remain far apart over key issues such as whether Russia should withdraw from occupied territories or receive land it has not yet captured.

my heart goes out to those 12 families who lost their loved ones in this senseless drone strike. Can't even imagine the pain & grief they must be feeling right now 
. It's just so heartbreaking when innocent people like these miners get caught in the middle of a war. 
I keep thinking that if we could all just talk things out peacefully, maybe we'd see more days like this where attacks like this don't happen... 
but until then, let's all hold on to hope & support each other during these tough times 
what's going on in Ukraine right now i mean i was reading about the energy sector workers being attacked and my heart just dropped for those miners 
how many more needs to happen before world leaders take action?! 
and what's with these talks between Russia & Ukraine with US in between? it feels like they're all just playing a game of chess while people are literally dying 
I don't think so. I'm all for talks and finding a peaceful solution but this isn't it. It's just more of the same old game of cat and mouse. And what about those 7 people who got injured, are they just gonna be forgotten about? 
The fact that energy sector workers were targeted specifically is just another example of how far Russia will go to try and disrupt Ukraine's economy. I'm not buying it when we're told that one attack doesn't mean all drone strikes have stopped.

and now the world is just stuck in this war cycle. The attack on energy sector workers just gets so frustrating - can't we all just find a way to resolve our differences without resorting to such violent means?
Every conversation I see online is just filled with 'we're winning' or 'we're losing', but who's really counting? It feels like we're just stuck in this limbo where no one can agree on anything.
I know it's not easy, but someone's gotta try, right?
Still holding my breath for those talks in Abu Dhabi next week, hoping something positive comes out of it
