Skeletons in well identified as Roman soldiers killed 1,700 years ago

the thought of people being killed and buried like that is just so sad 🤕 it makes you wonder how many more stories were lost along with their lives... i mean, 260 C.E. was like, a long time ago, but the wounds of war still linger. and to think they only ate grains, no meat? it's crazy how diets can say so much about who we are as people 🤔

anyway, this discovery is super important because it shows us that history isn't just dusty old books or artifacts... it's flesh and blood people with stories to tell đź’€
