Teenage Suspects Arrested in Brutal Killing of Texas Marine Veteran

"We're talking about three teenagers who made some very poor choices," said Gonzalez in a statement. "At the time Jake was driving that night, he had a ride share from Uber. He picked up one customer and dropped him off downtown. After that, he still had some people in the car. Uber confirmed that's the last time they heard from him."
Nguyen's brother, Matthew, shared his own account of his brother's final days, stating that Jake sounded "like he finally figured some stuff out" when they spoke on Tuesday. Unfortunately, their conversation ended abruptly with Nguyen's untimely death just two days later.

... I feel bad for the guy who was driving and working to support his family, you know? He's not even 30 yet and he's already gone 
. And those three teenagers, they're young too... I wish their parents were there to explain to them that violence isn't the answer 
. It's just so senseless, like what did they have to lose? 
They didn't even know Jake, right? So it doesn't make any sense why they would do this to him

three teens just randomly pick a guy to kill because... i dont know some people say it was over money but honestly idk how anyone could justify taking someone's life for cash. anyway my heart goes out to the family of this marine vet who served his country and was trying to make ends meet with an uber job. 
he sounded like a good dude in his last convo with his brother and now hes gone. so sad
and the fact that they stole from him too? like, that's just cruel 
these kids need to be held accountable for what they've done 
he was trying to make a living so his mom & sister can have a better life & this is what happens? 
it's just crazy how 3 teens could be so outta control with their anger & do such a horrific thing to someone who didn't deserve it at all 
. hope they catch whoever else is involved ASAP

We can't just lock up three kids without understanding the root cause of what happened.
. I feel bad for Nguyen's family especially his mom & sister who are left to deal with this tragedy

These numbers just show u how messed up things r 
, but I wish we could see some real prevention efforts in our communities. These kinds of incidents can happen anywhere, you know? 
We need to talk about this stuff and work together to make sure something like this never happens again... or at least not to someone as innocent as Quoc "Jake" Nguyen
