"Social Media Platforms Need to Step Up Cyberbullying Protection"
I think social media platforms need to take a serious look at how they handle cyberbullying on their sites. It's getting out of hand, especially for young people who are already vulnerable online. I mean, it's one thing to have a disagreement with someone in real life, but online it can escalate so quickly and be so hurtful.
I think Facebook, Twitter, Instagram - whoever they are - need to make it easier for users to report bullying and have swift action taken against the perpetrators. It's just common sense, you know? They also need to do more to prevent harassment on their platforms. Like, why can't we see who's following us if someone is being really mean? It's so frustrating when you're trying to block them but they keep coming back.
It's not just about the kids either, it's about adults too. I've seen some pretty nasty stuff online from people who think they can say whatever they want without consequences. Newsflash: we all have consequences!
