Three killed in Russian strikes on Kyiv, officials say

Three people have lost their lives following a wave of Russian air strikes in Ukraine's capital, Kyiv. The attacks, which occurred overnight, saw two high-rise residential buildings targeted, with six children among those injured. Damage has also been reported at three other residential properties.

This latest assault comes as tensions escalate ahead of winter. Ukrainian authorities have confirmed nearly 1,200 drones have been launched in the past week alone, escalating concerns about civilian casualties and infrastructure damage.

The violence is part of an ongoing conflict between Russia and Ukraine that began in 2022. As a result of this, significant portions of Ukrainian territory remain under Russian control, with the Crimean peninsula among those regions.

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky has called for allies to supply his armed forces with long-range missiles as part of efforts to combat Russia's military capabilities.

However, negotiations between Ukraine and Russia have recently stalled. In contrast, US President Donald Trump has announced new sanctions against Russian companies. Additionally, EU leaders have pledged to cut their energy imports from Russia by 2028.

Senior Russian diplomat Kirill Dmitriev believes that diplomatic talks between the parties are close to reaching an agreement, which could provide a solution to end the conflict.

😞 just heard about the latest air strikes in Kyiv and it's so heartbreaking πŸ˜” my thoughts go out to the families of those who lost their lives πŸ’” and the kids who got injured πŸ€• this is getting more intense by the day πŸ’₯ 1200 drones launched already?!? it's like, can't they just talk it out? πŸ™…β€β™‚οΈ i feel for Ukraine, they're getting bombed left and right 😩 but at the same time, sanctions are being imposed on Russia too 🀝 i guess that's what happens when diplomacy stalls 🚫 don't get me wrong, i'm all for standing up to Russia, but we need to find a peaceful solution ASAP πŸ’– #UkraineSupport #PeaceForKyiv #NoMoreBloodshed

🚨 Just got wind of those Russian air strikes in Kyiv and it's totally devastating πŸ€•. Six little kids were caught in the crossfire? That's just heartbreaking πŸ˜”. I'm so tired of all this senseless violence - can't we just talk things out?! πŸ’¬ It's like, one week they're talking to each other, the next week they're bombing away... when are they gonna find a way to stop this cycle of bloodshed? 🀯

I also feel bad for the Ukrainian people having to live with all these threats - it's like living in a war zone 24/7 😩. And now with all those drones flying around, it's just chaos 🚁. I'm keeping my fingers crossed that some kind of solution comes soon... maybe Trump's sanctions will make Russia rethink their moves? πŸ€” But honestly, I think we need something more than just words - we need real change on the ground πŸ’ͺ.

And what's with the whole "diplomatic talks are close to an agreement" thing? πŸ€·β€β™€οΈ It sounds good, but until it translates into some actual progress... I'll believe it when I see it πŸ“Š.

πŸ˜” just can't believe what's happening in Ukraine 🌎. these innocent lives lost is just devastating... πŸ’” like, two high-rise buildings and six kids hurt? it's just not right. i feel so bad for the families of those who lost their loved ones πŸ’•.

and honestly, this escalation of tensions makes me nervous 😟. what's next? will we see more civilian casualties? is this conflict ever gonna end?! πŸ€”. it's like, we're all watching from afar and feeling helpless πŸ™…β€β™‚οΈ.

on a positive note tho πŸ’ͺ, i love that Ukrainian President Zelensky is calling for help from his allies 🀝. long-range missiles would be super helpful in fighting against Russian military capabilities! πŸš€. and it's great to see EU leaders taking action too ⚑️. maybe this will finally bring some peace to Ukraine πŸ™... but we'll just have to keep an eye on things for now πŸ‘€.

man whats going on with russia and ukraine this is getting soooo crazy 🀯 like every day theres another update on the situation its been going on for years now and still no one knows when itll all be over πŸ€” i feel bad for the people of kyiv theyre having to deal with all this violence and loss of life again πŸŒͺ️ and 1200 drones launched in just a week? thats insane 🀯 how do ukrainians even cope with that kinda stress every day its like a never-ending nightmare 😩

OMG what's going on in Ukraine 🀯?! I just read about all these people losing their lives because of air strikes and I'm literally shaking my head 😩. I don't get why it has to be like this - families with kids, innocent civilians getting hurt... can't we just talk things through? πŸ’”

I saw that Ukraine's asking for help from its allies and the US is all about sanctions, but what's the point of that if nothing's changing πŸ€·β€β™€οΈ. I also read that Russia's saying they're close to an agreement, but like, how can we trust them when their actions are so aggressive? 🚫

Winter is coming and it sounds like Ukraine's going to be in a tough spot for sure ❄️. They need support from everyone - the world needs to stand together on this one 🌎. We should all be hoping that those talks reach an agreement soon, but what if they don't? πŸ˜•

πŸ˜• my heart goes out to the people of Ukraine right now πŸ€• they're going through so much and it just feels like no one's doing enough to stop this violence πŸ˜” i know we can't change everything, but it would be really cool if world leaders could just put aside their differences for a sec and talk things out πŸ’¬ like, is it really that hard to understand what the other side wants? πŸ€·β€β™€οΈ we need more people speaking up for peace over all this war drama πŸŒŽπŸ’•

omg this is getting so sad πŸ€• ukrainians r going thru hell with those airstrikes and now 3 ppl lost their lives?? my heart goes out to them & their families πŸ€— i mean what r we even doin here? we gotta keep talkin about peaceful solutions like long-range missiles for ukraine but still no clear progress πŸ“‰ & meanwhile russians just keep launchin drones w/o any regard for civilians πŸ’₯ can't a diplomatic talk solve this 4 good?? gotta stay hopeful 😊

πŸ€” the situation in Ukraine is so crazy right now... every day it feels like something new is happening 🚨. I mean, 1,200 drones launched in one week? that's insane πŸ’₯. And now people are losing their lives and homes get damaged... it's heartbreaking πŸ˜”.

I feel for Ukraine and the world really, but at the same time, I don't think we're doing enough to help πŸ€·β€β™€οΈ. Like, US President Trump is announcing new sanctions, which is good and all, but what about actual aid? πŸ’Έ. We need to support Ukraine in a real way, not just with words.

I'm also a bit skeptical about the Russian diplomat's claim that talks are on the verge of reaching an agreement... have we seen any concrete signs of progress so far? πŸ€”. I know there's been some back-and-forth between Ukraine and Russia, but what's actually being done to resolve this conflict?

Anyway, my two cents: let's try to be more proactive in supporting Ukraine, rather than just reacting with sanctions or words πŸ™.

I'm not sure if it's true that the US President is still playing hardball with sanctions against Russia πŸ€”... I mean, on one hand, it seems like he's trying to keep Russia on its toes and support Ukraine in this brutal conflict 😬. But on the other hand, isn't diplomacy about finding common ground and solving problems through talks? And if senior Russian diplomat Kirill Dmitriev says that diplomatic talks are close to reaching an agreement, shouldn't we trust him for once? πŸ€·β€β™‚οΈ Maybe I'm just not seeing the bigger picture here... but it seems like both sides have valid points. πŸ’”

As for Ukraine's request for long-range missiles from their allies, I'm torn too - is it really necessary to escalate this conflict even more? 🀯 On one hand, those missiles might give Ukraine a much-needed boost in the fight against Russia; on the other hand, think of all the innocent civilians who could get caught in the crossfire... πŸ€·β€β™‚οΈ Ugh, I don't know what to think anymore 😩

It's like the saying goes... "War does not determine who is right – only who is surviving." πŸ’”

The situation in Ukraine is getting more and more dire, with innocent lives lost on both sides. It's heartbreaking to see families affected by these air strikes, especially children who are left to pick up the pieces. πŸ€• The world is watching, but it seems like time is running out for a peaceful resolution.

We need to remember that "the only thing necessary for the triumph of evil is for good men to do nothing." We can't just sit back and wait for someone else to take action – we have to be part of the solution. 🌟

🚨 2k+ people injured & 3k+ properties damaged in Ukraine's Kyiv since Jan 2022 πŸ’₯ - just had to fact-check that number lol πŸ€¦β€β™‚οΈ Ukraine's lost like 60k civilians so far πŸŒͺ️ Don't even get me started on the drones, 1,200+ launched this week alone πŸšπŸ•°οΈ 3k+ Ukrainian servicemen killed or wounded since Feb 2022 πŸ’” Russia's got some serious firepower though 🀯 & it's only getting worse for Ukraine πŸ’₯ EU's energy imports from Russia are gonna be cut in half by 2028 πŸ“‰ 100% sure that's not enough to stop the conflict tho πŸ€·β€β™‚οΈ Ukraine needs more than just sanctions & missiles to win this war πŸ’ͺ

πŸ˜”πŸ€• This is so tragic... I was watching the news and it just showed those high-rise buildings getting hit by air strikes... can you even imagine? 🀯 Six kids got hurt, that's like, what if they were in my school during lunch? 😨 We have drills for fire alarms but this is a whole different story. I hope they get better soon.

I'm worried about the situation because it seems like it's not going away anytime soon. The fact that there are still over 1,200 drones launched last week is insane... how can people just launch so many attacks? 🀯 And with Ukraine losing territory to Russia, it's hard to see a happy ending.

I wish world leaders could come together and find a peaceful solution. We're always learning about history in school and this conflict feels like one of those things that we hope won't happen again... but it already is. πŸ˜”

This is getting so intense πŸ€•. I keep thinking about those families who lost loved ones in Kyiv... it's just heartbreaking πŸ˜”. The fact that there were six kids injured in one of the attacks? It's like, what are we even doing here? πŸ’”

And these Ukrainian authorities saying nearly 1,200 drones have been launched in just one week? That's insane 🀯! I don't know how much more they can take. The thought of innocent civilians getting caught in the middle is just devastating 😭.

I'm not sure what's going on with the negotiations, but it feels like we're stuck in a never-ending loop of tension and violence πŸ’₯. On one hand, I get why Ukraine needs those long-range missiles to defend themselves; on the other hand, sanctions aren't exactly helping the situation either πŸ€·β€β™‚οΈ.

I just wish someone could find a way to make peace happen, you know? For all our sakes πŸ˜•.
