Trump rips former VP candidate on immigration: 'Tim Walz does nothing, through fear, incompetence, or both'

President Donald Trump launched a scathing attack on former presidential candidate Tim Walz on Thanksgiving Day, labeling him "seriously ridiculous" and accusing him of failing to address crime and immigration issues in the state.

Trump claimed that immigration is fueling crime nationwide and straining public services. He pointed to Minnesota as an example, saying that "Somalian gangs are roving the streets" of a "once great state." The president also mentioned that 53 million foreign-born residents are largely dependent on welfare or have come from failed nations, mental institutions, prisons, or gangs.

Trump argued that American taxpayers are being forced to shoulder the cost of these individuals, saying that a migrant earning $30,000 with a green card receives "roughly $50,000 in yearly benefits for their family." He also claimed that this refugee burden is the leading cause of social dysfunction in America.

The Minnesota governor responded on X by asking Trump to release his MRI results. Indiana state Senator Michael Bohacek condemned Trump's language as "insulting and derogatory," saying it has consequences, especially for people with intellectual disabilities like his daughter.

Trump also targeted Rep. Ilhan Omar, calling her the "worst congressman/woman in our Country." He accused her of being from a country that is "decadent, backward, and crime-ridden" and claimed she does nothing but complain about America's Constitution.

The comments come after a recent shooting in Washington, D.C., which left one West Virginia National Guard member dead. The suspect, Rahmahullah Lakanwal, is an Afghan national who reportedly worked with a CIA-operated unit that fought the Taliban on America's behalf.

Trump's statements have sparked outrage among Democrats and some Republicans, who criticized his language as divisive and inflammatory.

Ugh, Trump's speech is so toxic 🤯! Can't believe he's using ppl like Rahmahullah Lakanwal (who btw is a hero fighting the Taliban) to fuel his hate speech 🙅‍♂️. And accusing Ilhan Omar of being from a "crime-ridden" country? That's just plain lazy and ignorant 😒. As if knowing someone's background or citizenship automatically makes them unsuitable for public office? Give me a break! What really gets me is how he's trying to divide ppl by using terms like "Somalian gangs" 🤦‍♂️ - it's just not accurate and perpetuates stereotypes. We should be focusing on real solutions, not spreading hate & fear 💔.

I'm getting so tired of this divisiveness 🤯😡. Trump's words are like a poison pill, spreading hate and intolerance instead of unity and understanding. The fact that he's targeting Somali gangs in Minnesota is not only misguided but also perpetuates racism 🚫👎. And what about the Afghan national who committed the shooting? Is he a terrorist just because he's from a country with a history of conflict? 😔

The problem isn't immigration or welfare, it's the lack of resources and opportunities for those struggling to make ends meet 💸🌎. We need to focus on addressing the root causes of social dysfunction, not stigmatizing entire groups of people 🤝💬. And as for Trump's claim that American taxpayers are footing the bill for refugees, where's the evidence? 📊 It's time for fact-checking and critical thinking, not inflammatory rhetoric 😒👀

man this trump guy's just pouring gasoline on the fire of division 🚒😱 like he thinks criticizing people from other countries or with different backgrounds is gonna make us stronger? it's not about being a 'good' or 'bad' person, it's about understanding that we're all human beings, deserving of respect and empathy ❤️. when we focus on our differences instead of what unites us, we miss out on the chance to build bridges and foster real change 💪.

🤔 Trump's whole thing about immigration and crime just sounds like more of his usual BS to me... I mean, come on, Somalian gangs roaming the streets in Minnesota? That's just a stereotype perpetuated by someone who doesn't even know what they're talking about 🙄. And let's not forget that 53 million foreign-born residents have actually been contributing to this country for years - whether it's through taxes or working hard and building their own businesses, not just relying on welfare.

It's also super convenient of Trump to bring up his daughter's intellectual disability as an example of how people with disabilities are treated in America... that's just a low blow 🤕. And what really gets me is when he starts throwing shade at Rep. Omar - she's actually doing important work as a representative for her community, and Trump's comments are just more proof that he doesn't understand what makes this country great.

Let's focus on the facts instead of spreading hate and misinformation, you know? 🤷‍♀️

Ugh, can we please just take a break from all the drama? I mean, come on, Thanksgiving Day is supposed to be about stuffing our faces and spending time with loved ones, not about Trump's latest rant fest 🤦‍♂️. And honestly, who does he think he is by bringing up Somalian gangs? Like, where's the proof? It sounds like just another case of scapegoating for him.

And can we talk about how ridiculous it is that he's trying to spin this into some sort of national security issue? Newsflash: immigration isn't fueling crime nationwide, and we need better data than just a tweet to prove it 📊. And what really takes the cake is him going after Ilhan Omar like that – totally unacceptable. The fact that his own daughter has an intellectual disability and he still thinks it's okay to use derogatory language? Give me a break 🤷‍♂️.

I'm not sure what Trump's goal was here 🤔... it seems like he's trying to stir up more controversy than solve problems 💸. I get that immigration is a big issue, but using phrases like "Somalian gangs" is just not helpful 😒. It's like painting an entire group with a broad brush 🎨. And what about all the people who come to this country seeking refuge from their own countries? Do they deserve compassion and understanding ❤️? Trump's claim that taxpayers are footing the bill for these immigrants seems exaggerated too 🤑. I mean, $30,000 to $50,000 in yearly benefits is a lot, but it's not like everyone receiving aid is living large 💸. It's time to have a more nuanced conversation about how we address our country's problems 💬.

🤯 Trump's Thanksgiving Day rant 🦃👎 - dude what's wrong with you?! 🤷‍♂️ Focusing all this negativity on immigrants and minorities, it's like you're trying to stir up some serious drama 😬. And what's with the Somalian gangs in Minnesota? I mean come on, can't you just focus on the real issues at hand? 🙄 The numbers he threw around are straight outta a conspiracy theory 🤪 - welfare recipients, refugees, and all that jazz... it's like he took every bad headline and mashed them together into one big messy soup 🍲. Newsflash: facts don't lie (or do they?). 👀 Anyway, can we please just stick to the issues and stop with the personal attacks? 🙏 And btw, what's up with the MRI results joke? 😂 Anyway, gotta side with Mike Bohacek on this one - hurtful words have real consequences, no matter how you spin it 💔.

OMG, like Trump is literally crazy!!! 🤯 How can he even say somethin like that about ppl from Somalia? That's, like, super hurtful & stigmatizing! 🙅‍♂️ And yeah, it's true that immigration is a big deal, but you cant just scapegoat an entire group of ppl for everythin. It's like, complex issues need thoughtful solutions, not just hate speech & xenophobia 💔. Trump's comments are, like, super divisive & unfair to Rep. Omar & all the other immigrants who are just tryin' to make a livin' in this country 🤝. And btw, I don't think his "MRI results" thing was even funny or clever 😂. Just bad news, period 📰

This is getting out of hand 😱. Trump's attacks on Tim Walz and Ilhan Omar are just plain ridiculous 🤦‍♂️. He's resorting to stereotypes about Somalian gangs and perpetuating a narrative that immigrants are a drain on the system 🌪️. Newsflash, Mr. President: immigration is complex and multifaceted 🔄. The fact that 53 million foreign-born residents are in the US doesn't mean they're all "seriously ridiculous" 😂.

And what's with the accusation about Ilhan Omar? She's a congresswoman who's been vocal about her own experiences as an immigrant, and she deserves better than to be called "worst congressman/woman" 🙅‍♀️. It's like Trump thinks he can just label people and they'll disappear 🔮.

It's not even the first time he's made inflammatory comments 💔. And now, he's using a shooting as an excuse to whip up fear and hatred 🚫. That's not leadership, that's divisiveness 👎. Can we please focus on finding common ground instead of tearing each other down? 🤝

Ugh, this guy Trump is at it again 🙄. I mean, come on, 53 million foreign-born residents relying on welfare? That's a pretty simplistic view of the issue. What about all the people who are actually working hard to contribute to society? It's not like they're just magically appearing and expecting everything to be handed to them.

And what's with the Somalian gangs thing? That's so unfair to an entire group of people just because some bad apples exist in their communities. We can't judge an entire culture by a few bad examples. And another thing, where are all these supposed failed nations sending their citizens if they're not working hard enough? It's a pretty convenient narrative.

And Rep Omar, honestly, I don't get why Trump is still going on about her. She's just trying to do her job and represent her community. Can't we just focus on the real issues instead of attacking each other? 🤷‍♀️

OMG, like, seriously?! 🤯 Trump is at it again, attacking anyone who doesn't fit his narrative 😒. I mean, come on, Tim Walz, Rep Ilhan Omar, even a West Virginia National Guard member who just happens to be from Afghanistan? What's next, targeting immigrants from Somalia or other countries? 🚫 It's not like they're all bad people, Trump's just painting everyone with the same brush, it's so unfair 🎨.

And what's with the numbers and stats he throws around? $30,000 for a green card? Sounds like some crazy math to me 💸. Not to mention the whole welfare thing, I mean, are we really supposed to believe that immigrants are just freeloading off American taxpayers? 🤷‍♀️ It's not that simple, guys.

And can we talk about how ridiculous it is for him to be accusing Rep Omar of being from a "decadent, backward" country? Like, get over yourself, Trump 😂. You're the one who's been known for your own controversies and scandals 🤥.

omg u wont believe what trump said about tim walz lol he thinks somalian gangs r roamin minnesota btw like wut r we even doin here??? 🤦‍♂️ the guy just said 53 miln ppl r dependin on welfare and stuff 🤑 but then he says ppl who come from failed nats are causin social dysfunction 🤷‍♀️ like wat's up trump?? 🚫 i feel bad 4 michael bohacek tho, his daughter got a disability 💔 so cant belive trump said that kinda thing. ilhan omar get roasted too lol but like wut r we doin here? its just more drama 🤪

omg u guys this just got real 🤯 like trump is literally going for the jugular rn and i'm kinda lowkey hyped cuz it means ppl are finally calling him out on his BS 😂 but at the same time, i'm so over the xenophobia & racism vibes 🙅‍♂️ and honestly, does anyone else think trumps comments about somalian gangs sound like he's just pulling a wild conspiracy theory from thin air? 🤪 i mean, what even is going on with him? is he trying to distract us from something else? 💁‍♀️ idk but one thing's for sure - trump's comments are GIVING. ME. LIFE 😂

🤯 Trump's attacks are getting out of hand! I mean, come on, 53 million foreign-born residents being dependent on welfare? That's just a fact, not an attack. And those Somalian gangs he's talking about? It's not like they're taking over the state or something. We should be working to address the root causes of crime and immigration issues, not spreading fear and misinformation.

And what's with the $50,000 in yearly benefits for a migrant earning $30,000? That's just basic math, dude! It's not like we can't afford it. And as for Rep. Omar being from a "crime-ridden" country... yeah, America has its own problems to deal with before judging others.

I'm getting so tired of politicians using fear and hate speech to get votes. Can't we just have a respectful conversation about these issues? 🙄

omg, trump's words are literally infuriating 🤯... like how can he just label someone "seriously ridiculous" without even knowing them? it's so unprofessional & childish 🙄... and what's with the somalian gangs thing? is he really serious about that? because it sounds super made up 🙃... and 53 million foreign-born residents are dependent on welfare? that's just not true... a lot of those people are actually here for education or work & they're contributing to society 💪... and by the way, how does $30k = $50k in benefits? that sounds like a total fabrication 🤑... and republicans who agreed with him? what's going on over there? didn't some of them use to be all about fairness & equality? 🤔

I'm calling BS on this one 🤔. Trump always knows how to stir up controversy on holidays, but does he actually have facts to back these claims? I mean, 53 million foreign-born residents on welfare? That number seems way off. Can we get some credible sources to verify that stat? And what's with the Somalian gangs thing? Is he basing this on some actual evidence or just spreading fear? 🤷‍♂️ Also, isn't it a bit rich for Trump to complain about social dysfunction when he's the one who's been known to praise authoritarian leaders and disregard democratic norms? 💁‍♂️ And what's with the MRI comment from Walz? Is that really something we should be focusing on right now? Can someone fact-check that too? 🤓

omg this guy cant even keep it together can he? like, seriously how can someone say somalian gangs are roving the streets of minnesota i mean come on, have u even been to minn? its all about the lakes and the nice people not gang activity lol

and btw isnt it weird that hes always bringing up immigration as if thats the only problem we got in this country? newsflash dont blame us for ur xenophobia problems mr trump

i also wonder why hes so obsessed with rep ilhan omar whats she ever done to u dude its just a bunch of hate speech and i cant even

the way he speaks about somali people is so out of line 🙄... it's like he's painting an entire group with a single brush, no facts just assumptions... and the immigration thing? it's not that simple 🤷‍♀️ there are cases where refugees come in need of help, but also others who contribute positively to society... it feels like he's trying to justify his own policies rather than having a real conversation about them 💭
