Tuskegee University basketball coach handcuffed on court during post-game incident at Morehouse College

Benjy Taylor, the 58-year-old head coach of Tuskegee University's men's basketball team, was handcuffed and escorted off the court in a bizarre incident during a post-game handshake between teams at Morehouse College.

According to eyewitnesses, Taylor had been trying to ensure that the football players from both schools did not enter the handshake line with the basketball teams. However, he claimed that a security breach occurred when the football players allegedly started entering the handshake line.

Taylor expressed frustration and disappointment over how he was treated during the incident. He stated that his players and family witnessed the scene, which left them heartbroken for him.

The police officer involved in the incident reportedly became hostile towards Taylor after he asked the player to be removed from the handshake line. However, no charges were filed against Taylor or the football players.

Taylor has been leading Tuskegee University's basketball team since his sixth season as head coach. The team holds a 15-5 overall record and an impressive 9-0 home record.

OMG u guyz wut is goin on??!! 🀯 i cant even bliev dis! Coach Benjy Taylor, he's been doin his thang for years & this is how he gets treated? like, who does that? 😑 the football players are all innocent lol. its gotta be thos cops. they're always so harsh. coach taylor said it was a sec breach but i feel like hes just tryna get outta there lol. anywayz, hope he's ok. 15-5 record is no joke tho! πŸ€πŸ’ͺ

can u believe this?! Benjy Taylor, a total legend in coaching, gets caught up in some drama with the football players from Morehouse College. like, what's the big deal? he just wanted to keep his guys separated from theirs, you feel me?

and honestly, I think it's kinda harsh how the police officer reacted - all that yelling and stuff... but i guess no charges were filed so yeah, that's a win for him, right? still, u gotta wonder what was really going on there. maybe Benjy just got a little too into the game lol.

anyway, I'm all about supporting our coaches and teams - they work hard to bring home those wins! so here's to Coach Taylor and his crew - keep doin' you, guys! πŸ€πŸ‘Š

Man, what's next? 🀣 Can't even get a simple handshake right πŸ˜‚. Coach just trying to protect his players and now he's the one who needs protection πŸš”. Guess it's all about perception vs reality πŸ™„. Should be about respect for the game, not drama on the court πŸ’¨

This whole thing is just crazy πŸ˜‚. I don't get why Benjy Taylor got handcuffed for trying to keep the football players from ruining the handshake line. It sounds like he was just trying to enforce some basic rules, but no one's buying it πŸ€¦β€β™‚οΈ. And now his team and family are feeling embarrassed because of this incident? Not cool πŸ˜”.

I can see why Taylor would be frustrated - anyone who's ever been in a situation where they felt disrespected or humiliated would feel that way 😩. But the cops involved were being super aggressive, which is just not right 🚫. I'm glad no one got charged, but this whole thing needs to get sorted out ASAP πŸ’Ό.

Can we just focus on the fact that these teams are actually competing against each other in a post-game handshake? That's what it's all about, sportsmanship and respect 🀝. Not about getting into some crazy drama or power struggle πŸ‘Š

πŸ€” This is so crazy what happened with Coach Taylor! Like, can you even imagine being treated like that on the court? 🚫 I'm totally with him on this one - those football players shouldn't have just waltzed into the handshake line like they owned the place! πŸ˜’ The fact that no charges were filed though is kinda sus... maybe there's more to it than we know? πŸ€·β€β™‚οΈ But for real, Coach Taylor and his team deserve so much better - they're killing it on the court this season! πŸ’ͺ And can we talk about how embarrassing it must be for him and his family to witness that scene unfold in front of everyone? 😞 Anyway, I think more people need to speak out against what's not right... like, if you were there, did anyone even say anything? πŸ€”

Can you believe this? 🀯 So Benjy Taylor, he's like, really passionate about keeping the football players out of the handshake line with the basketball teams. And I get it, you wanna respect each other's sports, right? 😊 But then this cop gets all hostile on him and handcuffs him? That's just weird, fam πŸ€”. Like, what's the protocol for that? Who does he think he is, man? Taylor's been doin' his thing with Tuskegee's team for years, 15-5 record, no problem πŸ’ͺ. And now this? It's like, totally uncalled for, you feel me? πŸ€·β€β™‚οΈ I mean, the football players didn't even do nothin' wrong... well, except maybe bein' a little too rowdy, but who doesn't love a good handshake line party? πŸ˜†

πŸ€” This whole thing just seems so unnecessary πŸ™„. I mean, what was the big deal about some football players sneaking into the handshake line? Coach Taylor's just trying to keep things organized and respect the protocols, right? πŸ€·β€β™‚οΈ But noooo, the police show up and get all hostile with him. It's like they're more worried about being PC than actually handling a situation.

And can we talk about how embarrassing this is for both teams? The whole thing gets blown out of proportion because Coach Taylor's a little frustrated. πŸ€¦β€β™‚οΈ I'm sure his players and family were mortified watching him get escorted off the court. It's like, what's next? Are they gonna arrest the cheerleaders for having too much fun? πŸ˜‚

I don't know what happened in that moment, but it seemed so avoidable to me. Coach Taylor's been doing this for years, and he's built a great team. He doesn't deserve to be treated like some kind of troublemaker just because things got a little out of hand. πŸ€¦β€β™‚οΈ

πŸ€” Just read about this crazy incident at Morehouse College... Coach Benjy Taylor getting handcuffed on the court after trying to keep football players out of the handshake line πŸ€¦β€β™‚οΈ. That's gotta be super tough for him and his team, especially after all their wins this season! πŸ‘

Stats say that in 2024-2025 NBA games, the average time spent in a post-game handshake is around 12 minutes. But what if security gets in the way? 🚫 Did you know that handshakes can be contaminated with viruses like COVID-19? 😷 The stats also show that most players (75%) shake hands with every teammate on their team. Guess coach Taylor was just trying to keep it all together! 🀝

On a lighter note, did you know that Morehouse College has the highest percentage of black students in the Ivy League? πŸ’ͺ That's some serious school spirit! The basketball teams must be proud to represent their school with a 9-0 home record. Keep it up, Tuskegee University and Morehouse College! πŸ€πŸ”₯
