US and China's different reports of their trade meeting

The BBC News website has an article about various news and events from around the world.

Somalia's President Hassan Sheikh Mohamud says he is a prime target of the Islamist group al-Shabab.

Canada, Mexico, and the US have agreed to increase cooperation on security issues to counter the threat posed by al-Qaeda in the region.

.. can't believe how much things have changed since my childhood. I mean, remember when Somalia was still a British colony? It's crazy to think that one of their own leaders is now being targeted by some extremist group 🤯.

And then there's this new agreement between Canada, Mexico, and the US about security cooperation... it feels like they're all just trying to cover each other's backs, you know? Like, remember when we used to have those joint US-Soviet summits back in the Cold War days? It's weird how times change.

But seriously, al-Qaeda is still out there causing trouble. I mean, didn't it get defeated by the US and its allies back in the 90s? It seems like they just won't stay down 🤔. Guess that's what happens when you've got a lot of angry people with guns and explosives.

Anyway, hope those leaders can work something out before things get any worse... we don't need another global crisis on our hands 😬.

😒 I'm really worried about Somalia, you know? They're gonna try to take out their president and it's like, what even is the point? 🤯 I mean, Hassan Sheikh Mohamud has been in office for years and he's trying to do his thing, right? Can't they just leave him alone? 🙄 Al-Shabab is a big deal, no doubt about it, but you'd think they could find someone else to mess with.

And now this news about the US, Canada, and Mexico teaming up on security... it's all good I guess? 🤔 I mean, they're talking about countering al-Qaeda in the region, which is super important. But what's gonna happen next? Are they just gonna beef up their military presence or what? 💪 It feels like they're just reacting to stuff instead of being proactive and finding solutions. And honestly, I don't blame them for feeling like that. The world can be a pretty scary place right now. 🌎

Ugh, this news just got me thinking about how everything is falling apart 🤯. Somalia's president, Hassan Sheikh Mohamud, is literally a sitting duck for these terrorists - I mean, who names themselves a target? 😒 Al-Shabab must be like "Hey, let's pick on this guy because he sounds like an easy mark". And now the US, Canada, and Mexico are teaming up to fight al-Qaeda... yeah right, because that's not a recipe for disaster. More countries getting involved just means more chances of things going wrong. 🤦‍♂️ What's next? Europe joining the party too? I swear, the world is one big mess waiting to happen 😩.

🤔 Somalia's president thinkin' he's a prime target of that terrorist group? Like, what's next? He's gonna start carryin' around a bodyguard everywhere he goes? 🚫 I mean, I guess it's good for him to be aware of the threat or whatever, but it just sounds like a bunch of paranoia. Al-Shabab think they can just go after anyone and expect them to fall apart? Please. They're just tryin' to get attention. And now, Canada, Mexico, and the US all teamin' up to counter that threat? It's just gonna be a big show of force, if you ask me. Like, what's really gonna change? Is it just gonna make everyone more paranoid? 🤷‍♂️ I don't know, man...

omg I'm still trying to wrap my head around this news 🤯... like how can one president be a target of an entire militant group? doesn't he have a personal bodyguard or somethin'?! 😂 and on a more serious note, it's crazy that these countries are coming together to fight against al-Qaeda in the region. I guess cooperation is key when you're dealing with global threats like this 🌎. I'm just worried about the stability of Somalia right now... can't imagine living through all that conflict 😔.

omg this is like so serious lol somalia is literally getting destroyed by these extremist groups what's going on over there?! 🤯 i mean seriously though hasn't al-shabab been causing trouble for years now? it's crazy how some leaders just become the target of these terrorist groups can't they like change the security protocols or something? 😂 anyway back to this canada mexico and us alliance thing i guess its good that they're working together but what about somalia tho? shouldn't they be getting more help from their own neighbors or something? 🤷‍♀️

and al qaeda in the region is like a whole different story these guys are super sketchy i mean have you seen those videos of them taking over towns and stuff it's like a real-life video game 😲 but seriously cooperation between countries is definitely important but how effective will this be against these groups? we need to see some real action soon not just a bunch of words 🤔

🌎 so somalia president is like super scared of al-shabaab right now its not uncommon for leaders in conflict zones to be targets of extremist groups but its still pretty intense especially with all these countries agreeing to work together on security i mean canada and mexico are already doing some cool stuff with the us on crime and stuff so maybe this cooperation will help keep somalia stable 🤞 also al-Qaeda is like a big problem globally speaking from terrorism and whatnot so its good that the us, mexico, and canada are teaming up to tackle it
