US wants Russia and Ukraine to end war by June, says Zelensky

US Pushes for War End by June as Diplomacy Continues

The United States has urged both Russia and Ukraine to bring an end to their conflict by June, according to a statement from Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky. This comes as diplomatic efforts continue between the two nations in the wake of recent attacks on Ukraine's energy infrastructure.

Zelensky stated that America proposed for the first time that the two negotiating teams – Ukraine and Russia – meet in the United States, probably in Miami, in a week. Both sides had confirmed their participation, although there was no immediate comment from Washington or Moscow.

The US has been pushing for an end to the conflict since Donald Trump's return to office nearly a year ago. However, diplomatic efforts have so far yielded no breakthroughs.

Meanwhile, Russia has continued its attacks on Ukraine's energy infrastructure, causing further widespread blackouts during freezing conditions. The latest attack involved over 400 drones and 40 missiles, with most intercepted by air-defence systems but not all of them.

Ukraine's state-owned energy operator, Ukrenergo, reported a significant increase in the power deficit due to the attacks. Neighbouring Poland was asked for emergency power supplies as Ukraine struggled to cope with the crisis.

President Zelensky stated that Moscow must be deprived of the ability to use the cold as leverage against Ukraine and accused Russia of not being serious about securing a lasting peace. The conflict has resulted in the deaths of around 55,000 Ukrainian soldiers since February 2022.

As the situation continues to deteriorate, both sides are engaging in further diplomatic efforts, with the US urging an end to the conflict by June.

come on, what's the hurry? pushing for war to end by june seems super rushed to me πŸ€”. like, can't we just take a chill pill and have some proper talks between russia and ukraine instead of all this bickering? and another thing, why miami specifically? can't they just pick a neutral place or something? πŸ€·β€β™‚οΈ it's gonna be super awkward for them to negotiate in front of all those american tourists.

I gotta say, I'm getting so tired of all these war drums beating... πŸ™„ like, can't we just talk it out already? I mean, I get that tensions are high and stuff, but 400 drones and 40 missiles? That's just crazy talk, fam! 😱 Can't they see how much damage is being done to innocent people on both sides? My heart goes out to all the Ukrainian families who have lost loved ones. It's like, we're still in 2022, right? πŸ€¦β€β™‚οΈ I wish these leaders could just take a deep breath and think about the bigger picture... peace, love, and understanding. Maybe if they did that, we'd actually see some real progress... πŸ’•

πŸ€” I think it's getting pretty bleak for Ukraine... like, what even is 'leverage' when you're using drones and missiles on civilians? πŸš€ The power deficit situation just sounds terrifying - I hope they get some emergency help from Poland ASAP. 55k soldiers dead since February 2022 is just insane, you know? πŸ’” Can't we just talk about this stuff without it escalating into more violence? πŸ˜•

man... this war is taking a huge toll on both Ukraine and Russia πŸ€•. I feel like we're stuck in this never-ending loop of diplomacy trying to break the cycle of violence. it's good that the US is pushing for an end to the conflict, but I'm not sure if they can deliver πŸ™ƒ.

I mean, Russia's been doing some pretty heavy attacks on Ukraine's energy infrastructure, and it's like they're just using their military might to try and force them into submission πŸ’£. And on top of that, Ukraine is still losing so many soldiers... 55,000 lives lost since February 2022? that's heartbreaking πŸ˜”.

I'm not sure what the US can do to break this cycle, but I guess we'll just have to keep trying 🀞. Maybe if both sides can just put their differences aside and talk things through, they can find a way to end this conflict for good πŸ’¬. But until then, it's hard to see a light at the end of the tunnel πŸ”¦.

OMG, can u believe its been over a year since Trump took office and the US is still pushing for war to end? 🀯😬 I mean, I get it, Ukraine's energy infrastructure has been attacked like, crazy! 😨 400 drones and 40 missiles? That's insane! πŸ’₯ And now they're asking Poland for emergency power supplies because Ukraine can't cope with the crisis? πŸ€• It's like, what's next? The world is literally on edge right now. πŸŒŽπŸ’£ I'm all for diplomacy, but when are these two gonna stop playing hardball? πŸ˜’πŸ‘Š

omg u guys i just can't even believe what's happening 🀯 i mean i know the conflict between russia and ukraine has been going on for ages but it feels like it's getting so out of hand... my cousin's friend's brother was actually injured in one of the recent drone attacks πŸ€• and i'm literally shaking thinking about how close we are to having a major war... i feel like america is trying to push for peace and all but can we please just get some concrete answers already? πŸ™„ it's so frustrating watching this play out on tv every night πŸ“Ί meanwhile, i'm over here worrying about my friends who have to deal with the aftermath of these attacks πŸ’” anyway, i guess that's just life in ukraine right now 😩

omg I'm soooo hoping they can make peace already!!! 🀞 like we cant take anymore of these blackouts and attacks on energy infrastructure it's getting super scary 😱 i feel so bad for the ppl in ukraine who are suffering thru this πŸŒͺ️ can you imagine having to deal with that kinda stress all the time?? 🀯 anywayz lets keep our fingers crossed that america's diplomacy efforts pay off and we get a ceasefire by june πŸ•°οΈ fingers crossed!! πŸ’•

Im thinking maybe us should let them sort it out themselves... like, we cant just impose our will on others, right? πŸ€” weve been trying diplomacy for ages now and its not working. Russia's all like "we dont wanna talk" and Ukraine's all like "we want to". Meanwhile, innocent ppl are getting hurt on both sides... 55k soldiers is a lot, you know? πŸ˜”

i mean, im not saying the us shouldnt be involved at all. but we gotta think about our own stuff too, like economy and stuff. We cant just drop everything for war πŸ€‘. And what if Russia and Ukraine come to some agreement? Do we wanna stick with that? πŸ€·β€β™‚οΈ

anywayz, june deadline sounds like a good idea... let's see how long it takes for them to figure it out πŸ•°οΈ.

I'm getting a bit worried about this whole situation... πŸ€• As I see it, the US pushing for war to end by June seems like a decent idea, but at the same time, I don't know if it's just going to magically fix everything. Diplomacy can be tricky, and both sides need to be willing to compromise.

I'm also really concerned about Russia's attacks on Ukraine's energy infrastructure - 400 drones and 40 missiles is insane! πŸš€ It's no wonder Ukraine's struggling to cope with the crisis, especially when it comes to something as basic as power. And now they're having to ask Poland for emergency help... that's not exactly ideal.

I think President Zelensky has a point about Russia using the cold as leverage - that's not fair, and it's just going to make things harder for Ukraine in the long run. 🀞 But at the same time, I don't want to see any sudden moves from either side without careful consideration... it's a complex situation, and we need to be patient and hope that both sides can find a way forward.

I'm also thinking about all those soldiers who have lost their lives in this conflict - 55,000 is a staggering number, and it's just heartbreaking. πŸ™ Can't we all just try to get along? I know it sounds simple, but sometimes I think that's the only way to make progress... πŸ’‘

I'm getting worried about this whole Russia-Ukraine thing... they're already killing people left and right πŸ€• and now they're threatening to use cold weather as leverage? like, come on Moscow, that's just not cool ❄️. And the US is trying to push for a war end by June? I hope diplomatic efforts actually work this time πŸ’ͺ. 400 drones and 40 missiles being launched at Ukraine's energy infrastructure is crazy 😱. The power deficit is getting serious, Poland needs to step up with some emergency power supplies ASAP ⚑️. I just want to see some peace and an end to all the violence πŸ™.

πŸ€” It's crazy how much power and leverage can be gained (and lost) through diplomacy. Think about it - just because America is pushing for a war end by June doesn't mean it's gonna happen overnight. This whole situation reminds me of the old saying, "you can't force someone to change their mind". We've gotta keep in mind that Russia and Ukraine are on different pages when it comes to this conflict. The US is trying to help mediate, but at the end of the day, these are two nations with deep-seated differences. Maybe what we should be learning here is that sometimes, you need to take a step back and let the parties involved work out their own issues. We can't just dictate how others should resolve their problems - we gotta trust in the process. πŸ’‘

ummm I don't know lol πŸ€”... like I think the US is trying to be all diplomatic and stuff but honestly I think it's kinda messed up that they're pushing for a war end by june πŸ’₯... I mean, what if there's not enough progress or something? then what? πŸ€·β€β™‚οΈ

and idk about this meeting thingy in Miami πŸ—ΊοΈ... like shouldn't both sides be trying to negotiate in person or something? πŸ€” but nope America wants it to happen in the US πŸ‡ΊπŸ‡Έ... I guess that's just how diplomacy is supposed to work right? 😐

but wait, what if Russia and Ukraine can't even agree on anything? πŸ€¦β€β™‚οΈ then what's the point of all this? πŸ™„ at least the attacks on energy infrastructure are kinda dramatic πŸ’₯ but also super scary 😱... I don't know man, I'm all confused 🀯

OMG, like, super optimistic about this whole war thing ending by June πŸ€¦β€β™€οΈπŸ˜’. I mean, who doesn't love a good deadline? It's not like they've been trying for months or anything. Can you even imagine having a diplomatic meeting in Miami? 🌴🀣 Yeah, because nothing says "diplomacy" like a conference room with palm trees.

And poor Ukraine, still dealing with blackouts and all that drama β„οΈπŸ˜©. I feel bad for them, but like, who hasn't been there before? Russia's just trying to get attention or something πŸ€·β€β™€οΈ.

I'm sure it'll all work out in the end... *cough* history *cough*. Can we just fast forward to a world where nations can actually talk things through without, you know, blowing each other up πŸ’₯πŸ‘€?

omg u guys i cant even imagine how hard it must be for ppl living in ukrain right now πŸ€• they keep getting attacked and losing power its like a nightmare come true... anyway i was thinking maybe us should send some aid or something like medical supplies or food to help them out its not like we dont have the money lol but seriously this conflict is so sad and confusing i wish diplomacy would actually work this time 🀞

man this war is dragging on for ages like what's taking so long for them to figure it out? πŸ€―β€β™‚οΈ think the us should be more involved than just saying things and not doing much... we need some real action here πŸ’ͺ, but at the same time gotta respect zelensky's frustration with russia being all secretive about their plans. can't just keep throwing drones and missiles without telling anyone what they're aiming for πŸš€πŸ’₯. hope both sides can get together soon and find a way to end this chaos πŸ’•...
