
 just read this article and i'm feeling a bit meh about it lol. anyway, according to bbc news, the global average temperature has risen by 1.01c since 1880 

 that's some serious heat, fam! 2023 was also the hottest year on record globally 

 with temperatures averaging 0.7c above pre-industrial levels 

. and let's not forget about sea level rise 

 - it's projected to reach 76cm by 2050 
anyway, if we look at the big picture 

, it's clear that human activities are having a major impact on the environment 

 climate change is no joke 

. i mean, we're talking about polar bears struggling to find food in arctic ice 

 and coral bleaching events becoming more frequent 

. so yeah, let's just say i'm not feeling optimistic about our planet's future
