I remember when we first started watching those CNN news clips about Ukraine... back in 2014. It was like a slow burn, you know? Russia just kinda showed up and took Crimea. Anyway, now it's gotten super serious. 
Trump is like the wild card here - one day he's all in for more missiles, next day he's talking about sanctions... what's good, right? 
But for real, Zelenskyy seems like a straight shooter. I'm rooting for him to get some serious support from the US. We've gotta see if this meeting does anything, you know? Maybe it'll be like that one time Obama and Putin met in 2013... or not.

. i mean, ukrainian president zelenskyy showing up at the white house with an "olive branch" lol like that's gonna change much but hey better late than never. trump trying to play peacemaker is cool i guess, but we all know how that usually ends. still got to give zelenskyy credit for being real about the need for tangible solutions though. us support is def crucial in ending this war and it's good to see him acknowledging that. now let's see if trump can back up his words with some actual action 
hope this means us support is finally on its way to help them counter russia's aggression... seems like zelenskyy was right, "we can do it" - with trump's guidance, that is 
fingers crossed they can work out a solution without escalating things further 
this could be a big step towards ending the war in ukraine and i know alot of ppl are still worried about russia's actions but i think it's time for diplomacy to take over instead of more sanctions 
let's keep our fingers crossed that both sides can find common ground 
Anyway, back to Ukraine - it's crazy that Trump is even open to discussing Tomahawk missiles

. And have you noticed that there hasn't been any mention of the EU or other Western nations contributing more than just sanctions? It feels like Trump's just trying to play hero, but really, it's just another example of Ukraine being left high and dry 
so trump is basically saying he'll help zelenskyy get those tomahawk missiles but only if they promise not to freak out 
anyway, i'm keeping my fingers crossed that this meeting actually leads to something and not just more empty promises
