Tragedy Strikes Homecoming Celebration at Lincoln University in Pennsylvania, Leaving One Dead and Six Injured
A devastating shooting incident marred a joyous homecoming celebration at Lincoln University in Pennsylvania on Saturday night, leaving one person dead and six others injured. The Chester County district attorney announced the grim details of the incident during a press conference on Sunday morning.
According to police chief Marc Partee, the shooting took place in the parking lot of the International Cultural Center (ICC) building, just before 9:30 p.m., where a post-football game celebratory tailgate and Yardfest event was being held. The event was intended to be a joyous occasion, allowing individuals to reconnect with their alma mater and celebrate their time at Lincoln University, but it was interrupted by gunfire that left one person dead.
The motive behind the shooting remains unclear, and officials do not believe there is an active threat to the campus. However, police are investigating the possibility of multiple shooters involved in the incident. The Chester County Detectives are leading the investigation, with the FBI providing assistance.
Eyewitnesses described a chaotic scene where people fled in every direction after shots were fired, with some being treated for injuries that included being knocked to the ground and trampled. A witness reported seeing one person receiving CPR, adding to the devastating nature of the incident.
District Attorney Christopher de Barrena-Sarobe urged anyone with information about the shooting to come forward, saying, "We are going to not stop until we are able to arrest and find the person or people that shot all of these people at Lincoln University." The DA also stated that the school's safety is the top priority.
Governor Josh Shapiro expressed his condolences to the Lincoln University community, saying, "Please avoid the area, continue to follow the guidance of local law enforcement, and join me in praying for the Lincoln University community."
The university has set up counseling services for students and staff affected by the incident, with support available starting at 10 a.m. on Sunday.
As the investigation continues, officials are urging anyone with information to contact the authorities. With the full force of federal, state, and local law enforcement involved, the community can expect justice to be served in this devastating incident.

. I'm tellin' ya, this doesn't add up... like, what if there was a setup or somethin'? This event just happens to happen at this one specific time and place... and it's like the universe is tryin' to distract us from the real issues. And what's with all the "we're goin' to find justice"? Sounds like they're more worried about coverin' their own backs than actually gettin' to the bottom of things...
