This is insane! A 5-year-old kid, born and raised in the US, being used as leverage to catch his own dad? It's like something out of a bad movie 
. I don't care what the "complex circumstances" are, this is just plain cruel. The fact that local authorities are saying he's being unfairly targeted while ICE is trying to use him like a pawn in their game... it's just not right. 
It's like our country has lost all sense of basic humanity.

It's like, what even is going on here? Their dad gets detained for allegedly being a fugitive and now the kid has to deal with all this drama because of it? 
I mean, I get that immigration laws need to be followed, but come on! The kid's age and status are basically an excuse for ICE to make an example out of them. And those local authorities taking a firm stance against the detention is like, yay for accountability, but what about the family as a whole? 
Are they gonna get stuck in limbo until this drama gets resolved? It's just so unfair and heartbreaking

...ICE is just trying to screw with this poor kid's life, holding him in custody when he shouldn't be, because of some technicality. I mean, come on, a 5-year-old boy is already traumatized enough, no need for ICE to make it worse by taking him away from his family and putting his dad in danger too...
