'A nasty little song, really rather evil': how Every Breath You Take tore Sting and the Police apart

I'm so curious about how this whole thing went down 🤔🎸 ugh can you even imagine having a fight with your bandmates in the studio?? I mean, I know they said they still maintain a close relationship, but like... breaking each other's ribs doesn't exactly sound like that 😱 what happened? And it's crazy how something as innocent sounding as "Every Breath You Take" could have such dark undertones 🎶🕷️

So, I'm wondering, do you think the royalties thing is just about the money or is there something more to it? Like, did they really have huge creative differences that led to all this drama 💡 and what's going to happen if they can't resolve their differences? Will it affect the legacy of The Police at all? 🤔

I'm still trying to figure out how YouTube didn't make a killing off that 12-hour live stream of The Police's 'Synchronicity' tour 🤯... Anyway, I feel bad for Sting and Copeland - their beef seems super petty now considering the song is like, literally playing everywhere and anyone can listen to it for free 🔊. Can you imagine if someone made a video game based on this drama? "Sting vs Copeland: The Battle for Royalties"... sounds like a trashy Netflix show 📺.

🤔 I'm surprised it's taken so long for these two to sort it out. I mean, come on, they're The Police 🎸 - their music's iconic! You'd think they could put the past behind them and just focus on the benjamins 💸. But nope, still all about the royalties and who got what share of the pie. It's like they're trying to make history by making a mess of it 😒.

ugh can't believe these 2 legends are at each other's throats again 🙄 it's like they're still in that crazy 80s studio where things were so tense 😬 sting is right though the royalties should be split fairly, and copeland's contributions to the song shouldn't be ignored 🤑 but what really gets me is how this whole thing's coming out now... all these years after "every breath you take" was released. it's like they're trying to relive old drama in the court of law 🤯 still, as a fan, i love "every breath you take"... it's just weird to think about the dark side of its creation 💔

omg i cant even believe its come to this!!! Sting and Stewart Copeland are literally fighting over a song they created like 40 years ago 🤯 how can you even have that kind of beef over royalties?! i love The Police and "Every Breath You Take" is like my jam, but this drama is just getting old 💔 it's crazy how two people who were once supposed to be friends are now going at each other over money 🤑 and honestly, Sting needs to chill out, he was in the spotlight enough back then 😂
