Ugh I'm literally still shaking thinking about this
it's just so messed up what happened in Minneapolis yesterday
like, what is going on with our country?!
we're supposed to be a beacon of hope and freedom but all we seem to be doing is perpetuating violence and suffering
Alex Jeffrey Pretti was just an ICU nurse trying to do his job and he gets shot for it?!
that's just sickening
And Reese speaking out about this is like, the ultimate slap in the face to all the people who are still waiting for their voices to be heard
I mean we've got athletes like her using their platforms to speak truth to power and it's about time more of us were doing the same
but seriously, how many more people need to die before something changes?!
I'm so tired of living in a country where being undocumented is seen as a crime rather than a human experience
we're talking about people who are just trying to survive and make a better life for themselves, only to be met with hostility and violence
it's heartbreaking
And don't even get me started on the timing of this all coming out right after Trump won the election
like, what are the chances?! I'm not saying that one event causes another, but it feels like we're just being kicked while we're down
anyway, Reese's post was a powerful reminder that our voices matter and we need to keep using them to demand change
