Russia-Ukraine Conflict Intensifies in Donetsk Region as Ukrainian Forces Repel Enemy Attacks
Heavy fighting has erupted along the front lines in eastern Ukraine's Donetsk region, with Russian forces launching a barrage of attacks on various parts of the front. Despite reports of little change in the overall situation, Ukrainian military commanders have confirmed that enemy fire has been repelled at multiple locations.
The General Staff stated that over 45 enemy attacks were successfully defended by Ukrainian forces within the past day, primarily targeting Lyman, Bakhmut, Avdiivka, and Mariinka. The military reported 17 air strikes and more than 20 strikes by multiple launch rocket systems.
In the Bakhmut direction, Russian forces have intensified their assault on the city, aiming to capture it completely. Ukrainian defense forces west of the city successfully repelled around 20 enemy attacks. Meanwhile, Oleksandr Syrskyi, commander of Ukrainian Land Forces, revealed that soldiers and commanders in Bakhmut had "destroyed the myth of invincibility" among Russian Wagner fighters and paratroopers.

Russian special forces were also deployed to the area, according to Oleksii Dmytrashkivskyi, spokesperson for the military zone.
Meanwhile, Denis Pushilin, leader of the self-declared Donetsk People's Republic, expressed concerns over Ukraine's ability to defend itself, stating that while it is still too early to confirm encirclement, the situation has become "extremely difficult" for the enemy.

especially when they destroyed the myth of invincibility among russian wagner fighters. cant say i'm surprised tho lol, russians have been trying to capture bakhmut for ages 
but its good that ukrainians are holding strong

. I'm not sure how much more of this we can take. The fact that Ukrainian forces are repelling attacks left and right is a huge morale boost for them, but it's also just delaying the inevitable

, and if they don't get some serious backup soon, it's anyone's guess what'll happen. And what's with these Wagner fighters? They're like Russia's special forces version of the US Special Forces

its like they're playing a never ending game of Risk out there with millions of lives at stake my cousin has a friend who's still trying to get back home from kyiv and it's been months since he left and all i can think about is the fact that ppl are literally running for their lives because of some politics dude whats the point of all this 
its not like either side is gonna come out on top in the end anyway... we should just focus on helping those who are suffering and making sure they get the aid they need

also those russian special forces are deployed to the area which is not helping for ukraine at all, makes me think ukrainians need to rethink their whole strategy, btw, 45 enemy attacks defended by ukrainian forces in one day? that's some pretty impressive defense skills 
. What's really going on? Are these Ukrainian forces just pretending to win so they can get more aid from the West? I mean, think about it... Russian special forces are deployed in the area, but we're not seeing any real progress on their side... just a lot of fighting and "destroying" myths

My cousin's friend is from Ukraine, he's been following the news closely and it's heartbreaking to see what's happening in his hometown. Bakhmut sounds like such a tough place to be right now. I hope those Ukrainian soldiers are okay, they must be feeling so overwhelmed and scared
