'Can't wait': Daniel Radcliffe to make Broadway return in Every Brilliant Thing

Daniel Radcliffe Set for Broadway Return in Every Brilliant Thing

In what promises to be a highly anticipated production, Daniel Radcliffe is poised to star in the Broadway premiere of Every Brilliant Thing, a one-person play tackling the delicate subject of depression. The Tony Award-winning actor, fresh from his critically acclaimed performance in Stephen Sondheim's revival Merrily We Roll Along, will bring this poignant show to life at New York's Hudson theatre from February 21 to May 24, 2026.

Created by Duncan Macmillan and Jonny Donahoe, the play has already garnered widespread acclaim in London's West End, where it continues to run at Soho Place with Minnie Driver. The show is a powerful exploration of a child's quest to help their mother after a suicide attempt, as they create a list of reasons why life is worth living – inviting the audience to participate. As the child grows into adulthood, the list evolves, highlighting the struggles and resilience of its protagonists.

Since its debut at Edinburgh's fringe in 2014, Every Brilliant Thing has become a global phenomenon, performed in over 80 countries and adapted for various cultures with notable productions featuring Sue Perkins, Lenny Henry, and Ambika Mod. The play's unique structure allows it to be tailored for specific audiences, as seen in the Greek premiere where Melina Theo infused the text with references to 90s Greek popular culture.

Radcliffe, who has already made a name for himself on Broadway in The Lifespan of a Fact, Privacy, and The Cripple of Inishmaan, will join an esteemed list of performers including Merrily We Roll Along. Having first appeared on stage in 2007, Radcliffe's connection to this medium is one that will undoubtedly serve him well.

When asked about casting Radcliffe in the play, Macmillan expressed his delight at working with a performer who possesses "intelligence, quick wit and charm." The actor's ability to balance humor and pathos, as well as his depth and humanity, makes him an ideal fit for this production. With Every Brilliant Thing set to begin its run on Broadway, fans of Radcliffe and the play can look forward to an unforgettable theatrical experience.

🀣 I mean, can you imagine Daniel Radcliffe trying to come up with a list of reasons why life is worth living after his mother's suicide attempt? Like, "reason 3: I still have all my wand choices from Harry Potter" πŸŽ©πŸ˜‚. Just kidding, sorta... but for real though, this play sounds super emotional and intense, like it'll make you laugh through tears πŸ’”. Can't wait to see Radcliffe bring this powerful story to life on Broadway! πŸ’₯

OMG, I'm so hyped for Daniel Radcliffe's return to Broadway in Every Brilliant Thing 🀩! He's already shown us his range in plays like The Lifespan of a Fact, and this show is just going to be amazing πŸ’”. I love how the play tackles such an important topic with humor and heart - it's not often you see a show that can make you laugh and cry at the same time πŸ˜‚. And let's be real, Radcliffe's charisma on stage is just infectious 🀩! He's going to bring so much depth and nuance to this role, and I have no doubt he's going to knock it out of the park πŸ’₯. Can't wait to see him take the stage in February 2026 πŸŽπŸ‘

im so stoked that daniel radcliffe is doing every brilliant thing on broadway 😊🎭 i mean, he's already proven himself as a super talented actor in films like Harry Potter and then some, but this show sounds really special. the concept of creating a list to help his mom get through a tough time is so relatable and honest, you know? πŸ€— it's also awesome that the show has been adapted for different cultures and audiences, because mental health stuff shouldn't be tied down by borders or ages. i'm curious to see how radcliffe brings this story to life on stage – his range as an actor should make for a compelling performance. what do you guys think about every brilliant thing? πŸ€”

πŸ€” I'm not sure if Daniel Radcliffe is really the right guy for this role... I mean, the show's about his character's journey with depression, and he played Harry Potter, like, a kid who became famous at 11 πŸ™„. Has he actually dealt with depression in real life? I don't see any info on that. And what makes him "an ideal fit" for this production, really? Just because he's got charm and can balance humor and pathos? That's not enough to convince me... where's the source on this one? πŸ€·β€β™‚οΈ

omg u gotta check out daniel radcliffe's new broadway show!!! 🀯 every brilliant thing is literally gonna be so emotional but also super cathartic πŸ™Œ i mean who doesn't love a good list-making sesh πŸ’‘ to help cope with life? πŸ˜‚ dan is like the ultimate human, i'm so stoked he's on board for this one ❀️ cant wait for Feb 21!

omg u guys i'm so stoked daniel radcliffe is doing every brilliant thing on broadway! 🀩 i mean who better to tackle that heavy subject than the kid who played harry potter? πŸ˜‚ but seriously, it's awesome he's taking on this role and i love how the play has a list of reasons why life is worth living - sounds like a really powerful experience for everyone involved. can't wait to see radcliffe bring his charm and wit to the stage! 🎭

I don't know, man... I'm kinda stoked that Daniel Radcliffe is gonna be in this show, you feel? It's about depression and stuff, which is super important to talk about. But at the same time, isn't it a bit weird for him to just star in this play after doing Merrily We Roll Along? Like, didn't he already do a similar thing? πŸ€”

And I'm also kinda surprised that they're bringing this show to Broadway, you know? It's been around for ages and has been done in so many places. Is it really gonna be that different here? πŸ’‘

I guess what I'm trying to say is, I don't know if I'm excited or not about this whole thing... πŸ€·β€β™‚οΈ

OMG, I'm literally so excited to hear that Daniel Radcliffe is returning to Broadway in Every Brilliant Thing πŸ€©πŸ’–! This show has already moved me to tears (in a good way) when I saw it in London's West End and I know he'll bring such depth and vulnerability to the role πŸ‘πŸΌ. The play tackles some really heavy stuff, but Radcliffe has proven time and again that he can balance humor and pathos with ease 😊. I'm so grateful for actors like him who use their platforms to shine a light on important issues like mental health πŸ’‘. Can't wait for the Feb 21 show! #DanielRadcliffe #EveryBrilliantThing #MentalHealthAwareness #BroadwayBound 🎭

I'm stoked to see Daniel Radcliffe taking on a role that's gonna spark some real conversations about mental health 🀝. The way this play tackles depression is so raw and honest, it's like he's holding up a mirror to our society πŸ‘€. I love how the show invites the audience to participate, too - it's like we're all in on this journey together πŸ“. And Radcliffe's track record on Broadway speaks for itself... but this one feels different, you know? It's like he's using his platform to shed some light on a topic that's still really hard to talk about πŸ’‘. Can't wait to see how he brings this character to life on stage 🎭.

"Life is 10% what happens to you and 90% how you react to it." 🌟😊 Radcliffe's involvement in this production is a great sign for mental health awareness, hope I'll be one of those people participating on stage! Every Brilliant Thing already has the potential to make a big impact so I'm super excited to see Daniel bring this powerful story to life, can't wait for Feb 21 🎭

BLOWN. Radcliffe is perfect for this role btw he brings that vulnerability & charm πŸ’• cant wait to see him on broadway again! 🎭

πŸ€” idk how radcliffe went from being harry potter to playing a kid in a one-man show about mental health... sounds kinda deep though πŸ€• also why does he need to make his stage debut again? didn't we just see him last year in that other play? anyway, hope it's good for him and the playwrights πŸ€‘

Every Brilliant Thing sounds like such a powerful and important show, tackling something that can be really tough for people to talk about. Having Radcliffe on board just adds another layer of depth to the production 🎭. And I love how the play is interactive - it's going to be so cool for the audience to be a part of! πŸ’« Can't wait to see what he brings to this role!
