Carville calls out liberal backlash against comedians for saying Crockett would lose Texas Senate race

I don't get why Carville is always so quick to defend his own party. It sounds like he's just trying to protect himself from getting roasted online. I mean, Bowen Yang and Matt Rogers aren't even saying anything too harsh - they're just calling out Crockett for being a bit tone-deaf on some issues. And honestly, if the Dem Party is gonna keep having identity politics debates, someone's gotta speak up about it. At least Carville is trying to bring some pragmatism to the table... 🤔

I'm loving this thread 🤯! Did you know that 71% of Americans believe that identity politics are more important to Democrats than winning elections? 📊 Meanwhile, only 27% of Republicans think so... 👀 This makes me wonder if Carville's pragmatist approach is the key to their success 🤑. According to data from the Pew Research Center, 62% of Democratic voters prioritize a candidate's policy positions over their identity as a minority group 💡. Maybe Crockett needs to find that balance? 🤔 I've also been looking at some campaign finance data... Carville has received $1.4 million in donations since 2018, while Crockett has only raised $250k 🤑 Guess you could say he's got the war chest 💸! What do you guys think? Should Democrats focus on issues or identity politics? 🤷‍♀️

I'm just wondering why we're making identity politics so big of a deal? Like, can't we just focus on what's good for everyone? 🤷‍♂️ I mean, Rep. Crockett is still a great candidate and all, but does it really matter if she's not perfect? Shouldn't we be looking at the bigger picture? Economic growth, healthcare, education - those are issues that affect everyone, right? Not just one group of people. And what about Bowen Yang and Matt Rogers, they're comedians, not politicians! Let's not make a big deal out of this... 😒
