I'm so frustrated with corporate America right now
. I mean, they're always talking about social justice and doing their own charity work, but when it comes down to actually standing up for something like gun reform, they just shut up
. It's like they think someone else is gonna do the heavy lifting or that their money and influence aren't enough to make a difference
.
I get that CEOs have to balance a lot of different things, but come on, this is a public health crisis we're talking about
! They need to use their platforms to raise awareness and push for change. It's not like they're not capable of it – just look at how they've used their influence on other social issues
.
It's also kinda weird that they're only speaking out when it benefits them, rather than actually caring about the issue itself
. Like, what's in it for them if they support gun reform? Is it just a PR move to make themselves look good?
Anyway, I hope some of the other big players step up and start making some noise on this issue because right now, corporate America is just looking like a bunch of hypocrites
