idk why everyone's making such a big deal about this

. But honestly, what's the harm in having some surveillance going on? We do it too, just as much, if not more
. And let's be real, US airspace is like an open book for anyone with a satellite up there... or in this case, a balloon
. I'm more concerned about our own tech being outsmarted by the Chinese than some rogue balloon

Not exactly the most subtle move, if you ask me. It's like they're playing a game of aerial hide-and-seek and we're just supposed to let them wing it (no pun intended). 
I'm not buying the whole "weather balloon" story either... sounds like China was trying to test the waters, see how far it could push us. And now we're backpedaling with all these diplomatic shenanigans? 
Not exactly what you'd call a win-win situation for the US. We should be calling their bluff and pushing them harder on this one. 
China's been playing this game for years, and we're still figuring out how to keep up. I mean, the fact that they can control its trajectory over Montana is still mind-blowing. And signals intelligence collection? That's like something out of a movie. It's crazy how much tech these balloons have. 
I'm no expert, but it seems like we should be able to track these balloons better by now.
