So I'm thinking, like, what's the big deal about this Chinese spy balloon thing? I mean, we already know they've been doing surveillance stuff in our airspace before, but now they're saying it was collecting real-time info back to Beijing? That's just kinda... typical for a global superpower, right? And let's be real, US satellites can already do that too. It's not like this is some groundbreaking new espionage tech or anything. Plus, China says the balloon was actually a weather balloon that got lost, so maybe they're just trying to spin it in their favor? I'm not saying we should be chill about it or anything, but can't we just... take it as is and move on?
I'm really concerned about this whole thing . I mean, come on, a spy balloon just flying around our airspace? It's like, we're supposed to be the ones with all the tech and resources to detect these things. How did it even make it that far? And now they're saying it was transmitting info back to Beijing in real-time... that's some serious bad stuff . I don't think the US gov is being transparent enough about this whole thing, either. They need to be honest with us about what we know and don't know. We deserve to know if our own airspace is being used for espionage . This is just another example of how China's been trying to one-up us in terms of tech and influence... it's getting old .
the fact that china can just fly a surveillance balloon over the us and beam back all the juicy intel to beijing is wild . i mean, what's next? a whole fleet of them, just chillin' above the country, collecting info like they're sipping tea at a state dinner?
and let's not forget, this isn't even the first time china's done something like this...at least 2 dozen missions, half of which were over us airspace. that's like them just saying, "hey, we got this whole surveillance thing down pat" .
