I'm getting really anxious thinking about what would happen if the internet just... stopped  . I mean, can you imagine not being able to check your email or scroll through social media? It's like life without breathing, right?

But seriously, it's also kinda scary to think about how our entire world could come crashing down if something went wrong with the internet. Like, what if a huge storm took out all the data centers or something? Or even just one person messing up some code and causing a chain reaction of disasters?

It's a bit unsettling to think that we're so dependent on this thing that it could literally take us down. But at the same time, I guess there's some hope in the fact that decentralized networks like Mastodon might be able to keep things running... sorta

 . we need to diversify our tech infrastructure, you know? decentralized networks are cool and all, but they're not gonna save us from a major freakout
