This whole thing is just crazy... I mean, a judge knowingly harboring an illegal immigrant with ties to a transnational gang? It's like they're playing fast and loose with the law. And to think they were doing it all under the guise of being a "sanctuary" for this poor guy... 
Sanctuary should be about protecting those who are genuinely in need, not providing a haven for folks who have broken the law.It's just common sense that public officials have to follow the rules and uphold the law. I don't think it's too much to ask that they put national security concerns above their personal politics. And what's really disturbing is that this is happening under both Democratic and Republican administrations... something needs to change, you know?
