idk how much i can relate 2 diane lane's experience lol but like thinkin bout dat movie and all those actors, i feel like dey were all so young n energetic . anywayz, gotta say i'm surprised she opened up about it now cuz i thought she was more lowkey . guess its good 4 us 2 know tho, maybe we can learn somethin from her story. anyway, jlo's comment about turnin down dat part is pretty interesting btw
I'm not buying it . If Diane Lane felt overwhelmed by an all-male cast, shouldn't she've spoken up about it back in 1983? It's weird she's bringing it up now, especially since the movie was released over 35 years ago . And what's with this "too much testosterone" line? That sounds like a pretty dodgy excuse . I think someone's trying to spin this as some kind of feminist icon moment, but really it just seems like old-fashioned whining about not fitting in .
omg you guys cant imagine how hard its for women in the industry lol, i mean diane lane had to deal with all this testosterone on set and shes still managing , im not mad at jennifer lopez tho, who needs that drama? maybe if she had taken the part she wouldve been stuck playing the same old roles forever . its wild how much of an impact the lack of representation has on people's lives, diane lane even said it made her question her own identity for a sec
omg can u even imagine being part of an all-male cast in 80s lol i mean i know diane lane had a tough time but its actually kinda cool that she used it as an experience to learn from meanwhile jlo is just over here like "i turned down the role and now im haunted"
omg can u imagine having to navigate all those alpha males on set lol Diane Lane was literally overwhelmed by the testosterone vibes and it's kinda relatable tbh how some ppl would've felt, like, out of place or something. but at the same time, she learned a lot from observing human behavior and stuff. anyway, I'm more curious about Jennifer Lopez saying that role went to her instead and what was up with that
