I'm still trying to process what happened in Kisumu over the weekend... it's heartbreaking to see Kenya's mourning turn violent again . It feels like no matter how many precautions are taken, the situation just spirals out of control . The loss of Raila Odinga is a huge blow, not just for his family and loved ones but also for the country as a whole . His legacy is still very much alive, and it's disheartening to see people resorting to violence instead of coming together in peace . I do hope that authorities can get things back under control soon and provide the closure that everyone deserves .
idk why kenya always has to turn somethin into a bloody mess when they're celebratin' someone's life. it's like they're more afraid of showin' respect than losin' control. remember when obama came and gave that fancy speech? he was right, raila odinga did deserve all that praise. but then again, kenya's got a long history of bein' unpredictable. maybe we should just accept it as part of the package deal when they elect their leaders.
