A growing segment of young American women have come out firmly against conservative ideologies, diverging significantly from national trends.
According to a recent poll conducted by 19th News/SurveyMonkey, nearly 80% of Gen Z women – those born between 1997 and the present – lean decidedly left on various social and political issues, with many identifying as liberal.
What's striking is that compared to their male counterparts in the same age group, who account for a higher 30% Republican affiliation, these young women have made up their minds and stand firmly against conservative values.
Among key topics such as abortion and gender-affirming care, Gen Z women show an even more pronounced leftward leaning. It seems that their views are not only influenced by the changing social landscape of their generation but also reflect a unique blend of progressive and inclusive ideals.
What's crucial now is listening to their voices and understanding what drives these strong opinions – and whether young American women see themselves firmly within the liberal camp, or if they occupy a space beyond traditional labels.
