George Santos, the former New York Rep., has expressed his gratitude to President Donald Trump after being released from prison following a surprise commutation of his sentence. The president had cited that Santos was "horribly mistreated" in solitary confinement and decided to commute his seven-year prison term.

During an appearance on Fox & Friends Weekend, Santos said he discovered God during his time in prison despite initially being denied a Bible and rosary. He described experiencing a deeply spiritual moment after attending Mass at the prison, which led him to reconnect with God through prayer.

Santos stated that just one day before his release, he experienced an intense spiritual awakening. "100% the day before," he said of when he received news of his release from solitary confinement and then attended mass.

In addition to his newfound faith, Santos has announced plans to dedicate himself to prison reform after serving time in federal prison. He expressed commitment to this cause during a conversation with President Trump.

Santos' release was seen as a result of the president's actions on behalf of the former congressman, who had been convicted of wire fraud and identity theft.

🤔 Can't believe what just happened 🙅‍♂️! Santos was in for some serious crimes, but gets out with a free pass thanks to Trump's commutation 🤑. It's like, he spent 7 years in the slammer for wire fraud and identity theft, and now he's gonna dedicate himself to prison reform? 🤷‍♂️ Yeah right! Sounds like an easy way out if you ask me 😒. And what's with this whole "spiritual awakening" thing? One day before his release, Mass at the prison, boom! He finds God? 🙏 Not buying it 👎. The dude was in for some serious crimes and now he's gonna make a difference? Give me a break 💔.

🤔 I mean, I kinda get why people are surprised he got out of prison so early... like, 7 years is a pretty big sentence, right? 🤷‍♂️ But at the same time, I don't know if I'd be too mad about it... I mean, we're talking about a guy who's been locked up for stuff that was kinda shady, but still, it's not like he hurt anyone. 😐 Plus, solitary confinement can be super harsh on someone's mental health, so maybe the commutation was a good thing in the end? 🤷‍♂️ But on the other hand, I'm all about due process and holding people accountable for their actions... it doesn't seem like Santos got a fair trial or anything. 😕 And what's with this whole spiritual awakening thing? Like, is he really gonna be dedicating his life to prison reform just because he had a few deep thoughts in the slammer? 🤔 I guess only time will tell...

Umm ok so just another politician getting released from prison after serving some time for their own doing 🤔. I'm not buying that he suddenly became a devout Christian because it was convenient for him to do so now that he's out. It's a pretty sketchy turn of events if you ask me 😏. The fact that Trump just commuted his sentence without much explanation is already suspicious, and now Santos is claiming that attending one Mass made all the difference? 🙄 I need some concrete evidence about how this spiritual awakening happened before I believe it 💯. And what exactly does he plan to do for prison reform after serving time for similar crimes himself? 🤷‍♂️

omg can't believe what's happening here 🤯 George Santos just got released from prison after serving only 1 day in solitary confinement due to some "spiritual awakening" 🙏♂️ is that even a thing? anyway, i'm all about second chances, but seriously, this feels like a huge loophole in the system... what's next, getting commuted for a minor offense just because you had a prayer session in a cell? 🤔 also, can we talk about how convenient it was for Trump to grant Santos' release right before the guy announced plans to dedicate himself to prison reform? seems like a pretty nice PR stunt to me 📣

🤝 I'm not surprised that Santos is expressing gratitude towards Trump after getting outta the slammer, tbh 🚫. But it's wild that he only discovered God while serving time... like, what took him so long to get his spiritual life together? 😐 It's cool that he found a new path and wants to dedicate himself to prison reform tho 🤝🏽 #JusticeReform #SpiritualAwakening

I mean... can you even believe what just happened? 🤯 So George Santos, this guy who was in prison for like 7 years or something, gets out and now he's all about becoming a reform advocate? I'm not sure if he's just trying to spin his own story here or if he actually means it. 🤔 The way he's talking about finding God and having this spiritual awakening while in solitary confinement is pretty weird, if you ask me. 😐 Still, gotta respect the fact that he's out now and can try to make a change. Maybe this will be a real turning point for him. But honestly, I'll believe it when I see it... 🤷‍♂️

lol what even is going on here? so Santos gets sent to prison for some shady stuff but then he finds god in solitary confinement and becomes all about it 🤦‍♂️. I mean i'm happy he's free and all, but come on George, you got caught with your hand in the cookie jar and now you're gonna dedicate yourself to prison reform? sounds like a convenient way to get out of trouble 😒. and can we talk about how weird it is that he only found god when he was locked up? wasn't he trying to avoid prison all along? 🤔

🤔 I'm still trying to wrap my head around Santos' story. It seems like his experience in prison has sparked a transformative journey, not just for him but also for his newfound faith. The fact that he was denied basic items like a Bible and rosary initially highlights the stark contrast between his imprisonment and what it means to be human.

The irony isn't lost on me - a man who was once embroiled in scandalous wire fraud and identity theft is now touting prison reform as a cause close to his heart. It's almost as if he's been given a second chance, and with it, an opportunity to redefine himself and make amends.

On one hand, I'm glad that Santos has found a sense of purpose and meaning in his life. On the other hand, it raises questions about accountability and the implications of commutation on those who may not be so fortunate.

man i dont get why ppl gotta take credit for helping others just cuz they did some good deed like comutin a sentence lol meanwhile santos was in prison for 7 yrs and now he's out & off to reform prisons 🤷‍♂️🚔 hope it doesn't all fall apart tho
