I'm not sure why we're making such a big deal about DHS funding. Like, can't they just sort out their priorities? We already know how they spend the money (mostly on walls and fancy tech), now it's time to hear from them about what's really going on behind closed doors. And what's with all the partisanship? Can't we agree that public safety is a concern, no matter who's in charge? I mean, I'm not saying Rand Paul isn't being responsible, but come on, can't we have a civil conversation about this instead of using it as a PR stunt?
