Harris 'concerned' she did not ask Biden to quit race

"Former US Vice President Kamala Harris has expressed regret over not speaking up about her concerns regarding Joe Biden's health during his re-election bid. In a recent interview with the BBC, she revealed that she did not discuss her worries with President Biden or raise them in a conversation with him.

Harris wrote in her book '107 Days' that Biden's decision to run for re-election should not have been left up to individual ego and ambition. She now questions whether she should have had a conversation with him about his suitability to continue serving as president, citing concerns over his ability to meet the demands of an election campaign.

The former vice-president acknowledged that running against Donald Trump would be even more demanding than typical presidential elections, given the level of endurance and energy required. Harris expressed her concern that Biden's health was a critical factor in deciding whether he should run again, but noted that addressing these concerns could have been tricky due to fear of being perceived as promoting self-interest.

In the interview, Harris stated she ponders whether she acted with grace or recklessness by not speaking up about her concerns. She also emphasized the importance of Biden's physical and mental capacity in carrying out his duties as president. Despite this, Harris left open the possibility that she may run for the White House again in the future."

🤔 Kamala should've spoke up back then, her health concerns were valid 🚑 I mean, if you're worried about someone's fitness to lead, it's not something to just keep quiet about. It's not like she was asking for a recount or anything 🗳️. Even if it was hard to bring up, her worry should've been more than just an ego thing 💔. Now we know he's struggled with the workload and I'm not sure what the future holds for him 🤷‍♀️

.. can you believe it? Kamala's like "oh well" after keeping quiet about Joe's health issues during the re-election bid 😒... I mean, I get it, addressing those concerns could've been super tricky, but at the same time, she was his VP for crying out loud! You'd think she'd want to make sure he wasn't gonna keel over on stage mid-speech 🤣... now that she's airing these feelings, I'm curious if she'll actually follow through on running again in the future? And what about the whole "grace or recklessness" thing - sounds like a bit of an existential crisis to me 🤯

🤔 still thinking about what happened during Biden's re-election bid... I mean, you're a VP, someone's gotta keep an eye on the Prez, right? 🤷‍♀️ shouldn't it be your job to raise concerns if you think something's off? 💯 now that she's reflecting on it, maybe she was too worried about being seen as playing politics instead of putting country first. 🇺🇸 we should all want what's best for the country, no matter who's in office 👊

🤔 I think it's a bit puzzling that Kamala Harris didn't voice her concerns about Joe Biden's health during his re-election bid - I mean, wouldn't it be beneficial to have an open conversation with the president about something as crucial as their physical and mental well-being? It sounds like she may have been weighing the potential repercussions of speaking up, but ultimately, wasn't her priority the country's interests? 🇺🇸 It would've been interesting to see how things would've played out if she had brought it up... maybe that's why we're seeing a bit of introspection now. 😊

omg, can u believe Kamala is owning up to not talking to Joe about his health during re-election 🤯? it's like, i get it, politics and all but girl needs to speak up! 107 days sounds like a super intense book btw. idk what's more shocking, her concerns or that she's even thinking of running again lol. i mean, joe's health has been on the radar for ages so why didn't he just ask her out? anywayz, it's all good that she's being real about her feelings. she gotta think about herself too you feel?

🤔 I'm kinda surprised Kamala didn't speak up sooner, considering how much was on the line with Biden's re-election bid 📈. It's understandable that she might've worried about being perceived as self-serving if she did bring it up, but you'd think with her experience in the White House, she'd know how to approach it tactfully 💡. Still, hindsight is 20/20 and now she's left wondering whether she was too cautious or reckless 🤷‍♀️. One thing for sure, her concerns about Biden's health were valid, especially with him running against Trump again - that guy would give any candidate a run for their money 💪!
