HSBC’s top execs face tense shareholders calling for a breakup | CNN Business

I mean, can you blame the shareholders? I've got friends who rely on those dividend payments and it's like they're getting the shaft. And don't even get me started on Ping An - 8% stake in HSBC and they're still trying to pull the strings 🤑. I think a breakup would be a good idea, not just for HSBC but for the whole industry. All these acquisitions are just a recipe for disaster if you ask me. And what's with the lack of transparency on due diligence? SVB UK, come on! You can't just swoop in and expect everything to be okay 🤷‍♂️. It's time for some real change at HSBC, in my humble opinion 💸.

Imagine HSBC as a puzzle 🤔... The shareholders are saying the bank is too big and messy, but the top execs say it's all working out 😊... But what if they're right? 🤞 A breakup could be good for value 💸 and simplicity 📈...

I drew a simple diagram to show my thoughts:
```
+---------------+
| HSBC |
| (big bank) |
+---------------+
|
|
v
+---------------+ +---------------+
| Asian business| | Western banks |
| ( Ping An's | | (independent)|
| stake here)| | (no more cross- |
| | | border drama) |
+---------------+ +---------------+
```
But then again, what if a breakup is too complicated? 🤔... And what about the customers? 🤝... I guess only time will tell ⏰...
