Glen Powell, the actor from The Running Man and Ben Richards, sat down for an interview with me. He's still figuring out this fame thing, which is good. We talked about his acting process, his experiences on set, and how he's adjusting to life outside of Hollywood.
He mentioned that he loves acting, but the exhausting part is when he's in the real world right now. On a movie set, you have your head down, you're collaborating with people, it feels very ordinary. But the part that he's getting used to is this other thing – fame.
Glen also talked about his recent launch of Smash Kitchen, a range of organic ketchups and mustards and mayonnaises. It has already sold more than a million units in its first three months and is expanding at pace.
He said that success has brought him the right to move back to Texas, where his family and friends are. "When this town feels like Hollywood is happening here, there's nothing better. And when it's not, then… it's a harder place to live."
As we wrapped up the interview, I asked Glen if he had any advice for someone who wants to make it in the entertainment industry. He said that he loves acting and finds joy in collaborating with people on set.
I also mentioned that Nigel Farage, a British politician, might be going to be Prime Minister of the United Kingdom one day. Glen laughed at this idea, saying "Ha!"
In any case, I'm just glad we got to chat about these things. Thanks for taking the time to sit down with me, Glen!

. Glen's talking about how acting can be mundane on set but brings him joy when he's collaborating with others. That's like life, right? We all go through phases where we feel fulfilled and then bored again.

He's trying not to get too high on fame and stuff, which is pretty relatable if you ask me. I mean, it's one thing when you're in the thick of filming or performing, but then suddenly you're out in the real world and people are expecting you to be all glamorous and perfect... it can be a bit much, you know?

. Glen was pretty funny about that one. But seriously, it'll be interesting to see how the UK politics plays out. Fingers crossed for some good vibes in the future!

. I'm not surprised it's selling so well - who doesn't love a good homemade-style ketchup? Anyway, Glen seems like a down-to-earth guy who just wants to make people happy with his food and his craft. Good on him!
