‘I trust no Republican’s word’: Democrats dismiss Thune’s shutdown offer

ugh man i'm so done with this government shutdown stuff 🤯 it's like they're all just playing politics instead of working together for the people. senator shaheen's point about them not wanting to extend healthcare subsidies 3 weeks ago but now suddenly they're okay with it is just wild 🙄 and senator durbin saying he needs trump's approval for a solution is just so frustrating 😤 what's going on over there?!

i'm also still trying to figure out why republicans can't seem to get their act together when it comes to healthcare. like, shouldn't they want people to have access to affordable care too? 🤷‍♀️ i mean, senator blumenthal has a point about not trusting any republican's word on this stuff... sad that it's come down to that 😔

anyway, can we just get some compromise and figure out how to help ppl already?! 🙏 this shutdown is getting old and it's affecting so many people's lives 🤕

🤔 This whole shutdown thing is like, a reflection of our society's priorities, you know? We're more focused on extending government services than addressing the real issues that affect people's lives... like healthcare 🏥. It's all about compromise and finding common ground, but when it comes to something as vital as healthcare, politicians seem to be stuck in this limbo 💔. I mean, if they can't agree on something as straightforward as extending subsidies, how can we trust them to make decisions that affect our future? 🤷‍♂️ It's like, we need to take a step back and think about what's really important here... and for most of us, it's not getting more government control 📊. We just want to live our lives without worrying about whether or not we'll have access to healthcare when we need it 😩.

Wow! 🤯 I'm still confused why they can't just agree on something already. Interesting that they're all playing hardball like this. Senate Democrats seem super skeptical about Thune's proposal, which is totally understandable given the Medicaid cuts and all that jazz. 😕
