I'm terrible on the field. But my amateurism might actually have benefits

🤔 I'm not buying it. How do we know this person's "bad foot" wasn't just an excuse to skip PE? And what's with the lack of accountability for the worst player on the team? Just because you're having fun doesn't mean you're not sabotaging your teammates' chances at winning 🏀😒

🤸‍♂️ just had the craziest epiphany about why I love playing netball with my squad - it's not because I'm actually good at it (lol, nope), but bc we all just vibe together 🌈 and have a blast trying to trash each other's game 🎾. like, I don't care if I'm on fire or completely off beat, the energy's always lit 🔥 and we're always laughing about how much we suck 👍

omg u gotta read this its so inspiring I mean i was def not a sports person before but then stumbled upon this casual game with friends and suddenly i was hooked 🤸‍♀️ the thing is it wasn't about being perfect or winning all the time it was just about having fun with people who liked doing the same thing and that's when it clicked for me. I started to see how much pressure there is in our lives to constantly be improving or productive and its exhausting 💔 but dabbling in stuff we love can be a game changer trust me

I don’t usually comment but I was thinking about how this reminds me of when I first got into online gaming 🤔. I used to think I wasn't good enough and would get frustrated and quit, but then I found a few guys who were just chillin' and playing for fun 😂. They showed me that it's okay not to be the best player, and that the most important thing is having fun with your friends.

It made me realize that I was putting too much pressure on myself when I started playing games competitively 💯. But once I relaxed and just enjoyed the experience, I found that I was actually getting better and having more fun 🎮. It's like Karen Walrond said - we need to give ourselves permission to explore activities for their own sake, rather than solely for improvement or productivity.

I think this is something that a lot of people struggle with, especially in today's world where everyone is trying to be perfect and productive all the time 🤯. But I think it's so important to take a step back and just enjoy the process, even if we're not getting better at something. It's okay to make mistakes and have fun while doing it 😊.
