The more I think about it, the more I'm worried that we're seeing a complete breakdown of the rule of law in the US 
. These high-profile efforts to prosecute political foes can't be seen as anything other than an attempt to silence and intimidate certain groups of people. And let's not forget that this is happening just weeks before elections - it's like they're trying to rig the system from within 
.I mean, think about it: career prosecutors are being told to advance personal vendettas against high-profile targets, rather than doing their jobs based on evidence and facts
. And what about the ones who aren't getting the message? Will they be punished or overlooked? It's like we're seeing a mini-dictatorship unfolding before our eyes 
.The thing is, when you start to politicize investigations, you open up the door for all sorts of abuse and corruption
. And what about the cases that don't get pursued because they have no evidence or aren't convenient? Is that just a case of selective justice? 
I think we're in danger of losing trust in our institutions if this kind of thing keeps going on 
.
It's like the White House is trying to politicize every single investigation and prosecute whoever they want to take down. Newsflash: that's not how democracy works, folks... 
So Trump's DOJ is trying to prosecute his political foes and it's got all these career prosecutors feeling super uncomfortable because they're being told to go after people who are perceived enemies of the president. That's just not how investigations should work, right? 
It's like they're saying "we're gonna charge you because you're a Democrat/Republican/Biden supporter"... that doesn't sound like justice to me.
