Tehran Announces Official End to 10-Year-Old Nuclear Agreement, US and European Allies Left Reeling.

In a move that has sent shockwaves across the globe, Iran announced on Saturday that it is officially terminating the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action (JCPOA), also known as the nuclear agreement, which was signed in 2015. The deal, aimed at preventing the spread of atomic weapons, had been in disarray for years due to the US withdrawal and the reimposition of sanctions.

According to Iran's foreign ministry, all provisions of the 2015 agreement are now considered terminated, including restrictions on its nuclear program and mechanisms related to it. However, Tehran maintains its commitment to diplomacy, saying that "all options remain on the table" in its relations with the West.

The US, Britain, France, Germany, Russia, and China signed the deal, which was intended to lift international sanctions on Iran in exchange for limitations on its nuclear program. The agreement officially expired on Saturday, but it has been in a state of limbo since Donald Trump's surprise withdrawal in 2018.

In response to the US exit, Iran began ramping up its nuclear program, prompting European-led talks to revive the deal to fail. Israel and the US carried out bombing raids on Iran this summer, further eroding hopes for a revival.

The termination of the agreement has significant implications for global security, as it leaves the world without a mechanism to prevent the spread of atomic weapons. Western governments and Israel have long accused Iran of seeking nuclear weapons, which Tehran denies.

Iran is expected to make a statement at the UN in New York later on Saturday, marking the official end of the decade-old agreement. The move has left US and European allies scrambling for a new diplomatic solution to ensure that Iran never acquires nuclear capabilities.

"We will continue to seek a new diplomatic solution to ensure Iran never gets a nuclear weapon," British, French, and German foreign ministers said in a joint statement last month. EU's top diplomat Kaja Kallas also emphasized the need for negotiations, saying that "the sanctions must not be the end of diplomacy."

The situation remains tense, with tensions between the West and Iran at an all-time high.

I'm really surprised by this news... I mean, 2015 was a huge deal! Everyone thought it was gonna make a big difference in the world πŸ˜•. And now, just like that, it's over? It feels like we're right back to square one πŸ€”. I know Iran said all options are on the table, but can't they just try to work with everyone else for once? πŸ™„

I'm not sure what the US and Europe were expecting, but this is a big deal πŸ’Έ. We need something to stop Iran from getting nuclear capabilities, or it's gonna be super bad 🚨. I remember when Obama was in office, he was all about diplomacy and stuff... maybe we should've stuck with that approach πŸ˜‚.

It's like the world is playing a game of "nuclear chicken" now... can't we just talk things out? πŸ’¬ This is getting outta hand!

πŸ˜• the world is already losing so much with this nuclear deal gone up in smoke its like watching a big ol fireball burn out without even getting to put out the ashes

I FEEL SO BAD FOR THE US AND EUROPEAN COUNTRIES RIGHT NOW THEY'RE LIKE STUCK IN A TOUGH SPOT AND IRAN IS JUST MAKING IT WORSE BY TERMINATING THIS AGREEMENT THAT WAS SUPPOSED TO PREVENT NUCLEAR WAR 🀯. I MEAN COME ON IRAN CAN'T YOU JUST TRY TO BE MORE COOPERATIVE FOR ONCE?! πŸ™„. ANYWAY I THINK IT'S GOING TO TAKE A WHILE FOR THEM TO FIGURE OUT WHAT TO DO NEXT BUT FOR NOW IT JUST FEELS LIKE THINGS ARE GETTING REALLY UGLY OVER THERE πŸ’”.

omg just heard about iran quitting its nuke deal 🚨πŸ’₯ anyone else worried about what this means for global security? πŸ€” i mean we already had israel and usa bombing iran in summer... now we got no mechanism to stop them from making nukes πŸ•°οΈ it's like, what's next? 😬 might need to keep an eye on this situation πŸ‘€

OMG, this is soooo bad news 🀯!!! Like, what's gonna happen to global security now?!?! 😱 The US and Europe are just gonna sit back and do nothing? That's not cool πŸ’”. I know Iran didn't like the sanctions, but still... πŸ’β€β™€οΈ a nuclear program without any restrictions is super scary 🚨. Israel and the US bombing raids were a major red flag πŸ”΄πŸ’£. And what about diplomacy? It seems like it's all just talk now πŸ€·β€β™€οΈ. We need to get Iran back on track ASAP ⏱️. The EU needs to step up and negotiate something new, stat πŸ’Ό. This is so not good for anyone πŸ€¦β€β™‚οΈ...

🀬 what a massive fail on both sides tbh the US and europe were so hyped about this deal but now it's just another failed diplomatic attempt πŸ€¦β€β™‚οΈ why did they even bother trying to revive it? πŸ™„ meanwhile Iran is just playing hardball, like they always do 😏 all options on the table for them and none for us πŸ€·β€β™‚οΈ gotta wonder what kind of leverage they got from China and Russia lol πŸ’Έ this whole situation is super messy, not sure how we're gonna get outta this one πŸ€”

πŸŒͺ️ this is insane! 10 years of a non-proliferation deal just poof gone 🀯! how are us and europe going to cope without some kinda international framework to keep iran's nuclear program in check? it's like playing a game of nuclear chicken with the world πŸš€πŸ‘Š

anyway, i'm not surprised tbh. trump's withdrawal was always gonna be a game changer. and let's be real, israel's involvement in all this just gonna push everyone further away from a peaceful solution? πŸ€” it's like they're trying to fan the flames of tension instead of putting them out πŸ’§

i'm watching this situation closely πŸ‘€πŸ•΅οΈβ€β™€οΈ and i gotta say, my anxiety levels are through the roof πŸ˜‚. the world needs a way to balance diplomacy with security concerns 🌐 can we get a new deal that works? only time will tell ⏰
