Iranian FM says indirect talks with US were a ‘good start’

Iranian FM Hails Oman-Brokered Talks as "Good Start" Amid Tense Relations with US.

Iran's foreign minister expressed cautious optimism on Monday, following indirect talks with the US that were mediated by Oman. The foreign minister said that these talks marked a "good start," in spite of deep-seated mistrust between the two nations.

According to sources close to the talks, Iran and the US engaged in preliminary discussions through Oman's government, focusing on key regional issues such as Iran's nuclear program and the country's influence in the Middle East. While no concrete agreements were reached, both sides seemed to acknowledge the possibility of future negotiations.

The Iranian foreign minister described the Oman-brokered talks as a "good start," suggesting that these preliminary discussions could lay the groundwork for more substantial talks in the future.

idk why ppl think iran's all bad news, they just wanna be left alone to run their own country 🤷‍♂️. its about time they got some respect from the west, especially from usa who's always trying to pull strings everywhere 🙄. but for real tho, Oman being the mediator is a great move, they know how to bring ppl together 🤝. it feels like we're getting close to somethin special here 👍

omg have you guys tried those new plant-based milk alternatives? i swear they're so much better than the dairy stuff 😂 my friend's sister started using it and now she's hooked lol anyway back to iran... i've always been fascinated by the ancient ruins there, like persepolis and all that 🤯 have you guys ever heard of those? 🗺️

omg u gotta think, usa & iran r like, super tense rn lol dont get me wrong, im all 4 peace & all but its like, deep down theres this mistrust between them. anywayz, i think this oman thingy was a good start. its not like they reached any concrete agreements or watever, but at least they talked about it. u feel? its all bout findin common ground & whatnot. lets hope these talks dont die on the vine. 😐💬

.. I'm not sure if it's a good thing or what... 🤔 They're talkin' and all, but we've been hearin' that before, you know? Like, back in my day, we had Yeltsin and Clinton meetin' over coffee, and nothin' ever came of it. So, I'm skeptical about this Oman-brokered deal bein' the real deal... 🤷‍♂️ Still, I guess it's a start, 'specially if Iran's not lookin' to mess with anyone right now... 💸 Just hope these talks don't fizzle out like that last time... 😐

🤔 I'm actually kinda stoked about this whole thing, ya know? Like, we've been seeing some pretty tense stuff go down between Iran and the US for ages, so it's def a good sign that they're even talking again 🤝. And Oman's always been super cool about mediating talks in the region - their diplomatic skills are no joke 💯. It's all about taking small steps towards building trust and understanding, right? Even if nothing concrete comes out of these talks just yet, it's still a start, and that's what matters 🌟. Maybe we'll see some progress soon? Fingers crossed! 🤞

omg i just saw the cutest vid on tiktok of a puppy learning how to skate 🐶🎿, and it reminded me of when my little sibling was trying to ride a bike for the first time... anyway, back to iran and oman... have you guys tried that new indian restaurant downtown? their curry is literally life-changing 🍛👌

I'm not sure how far this is gonna go, but if Iran and the US are talking again, it's gotta be good for regional stability ⚖️. I mean, the last time they were at each other's throats was super intense, so any progress here is a win in my book 🙌. Still, deep-seated mistrust between them is no joke, and it'll take more than just some Oman-brokered talks to get past all that 🔍. I guess we'll just have to wait and see where this leads, but for now, let's just hope it doesn't go back to zero ⚠️.

🤔 so Iran's got some optimism going on here? like, they're talking to the US again and it's already being hailed as a good start 🙄 I'm not sure if that's the most realistic goal considering how tense things are between them... but hey, at least it's a step in the right direction or whatever. And it's Oman who's brokering these talks, so fingers crossed that they've got some magic diplomatic skills up their sleeve 💫 still a long way to go before anything concrete comes out of this, imo 🤷‍♂️

idk what's going on with these diplomatic talks btw... seems like they're just trying to buy some time before things escalate again 😒. I mean, how can you really make progress when there's still so much mistrust between two nations? And what's with Oman being the middleman? Are they getting paid off or something? 🤑

I'm not saying it's all bad, but a "good start" is just code for "we're gonna keep talking until someone gets cold feet". Can't say I'm convinced that these talks are gonna lead to anything concrete. And what about the elephant in the room - Iran's nuclear program? You can't just gloss over that and expect everything to magically work out 🙄.

I guess only time will tell if these talks really do mark a turning point, but for now, I'm keeping my fingers crossed (not literally, because we all know how those turn out 😂).

So Iran and US are finally having a chat... I think this is a pretty good sign, yeah? The fact that Oman was involved just shows they're willing to put their differences aside for now 🤝. Of course, mistrust is still there, but at least we can say they both showed up to the table. It's all about setting the stage for something more meaningful in the future. I mean, a good start doesn't necessarily mean it's going to be easy sailing from here... but hey, progress is progress, right? Maybe this means we'll see some actual changes in the Middle East soon 🤞. One thing's for sure - the world needs more diplomacy like this! 💬

so its good that iran and us are having some kinda talks 🤝 at least they're talking about stuff thats important like nukes and middle east politics... i dont think we can expect much to come out of this just yet, but its a start 😊. Oman's role as mediator is interesting, might be more diplomatic than direct 💡. no concrete agreements tho, which is expected given the tension between them 🙄. still better than nothing, and who knows maybe this sets the stage for more talks later on? 🤔📝

man i'm still trying to wrap my head around this whole thing... so iran and us are talking again 🤔 after all the tension and whatnot, it's gotta be a good sign that they're even having these talks. but at the same time, i'm not convinced that we've made as much progress as ppl are making it out to be... like, where's the concrete stuff? 🤷‍♂️ you can't just say its a "good start" without actually seeing some real changes happen. still, gotta keep an open mind and see where this goes from here 🚀

Ugh I'm so glad they're finally talking 🙌... like it's been ages since we last heard from them 😒. So yeah, Oman is basically like the mediator superhero saving the day 🤴♂️ and all that jazz 💪. But seriously though, it's gonna be a tough road ahead for these two nations to rebuild trust after all the drama they've been through 💔. I mean, Iran's got some serious concerns about being bullied over its nuclear program 🚫 and the US is all like "you need to calm down" 😒. It's like they're speaking different languages or something 🤷‍♀️. Still, a good start is a good start 💯... fingers crossed it doesn't all go up in flames 🔥 again soon!

I'm low-key surprised Iran's FM is being all optimistic about these talks 🤔... I mean, I get it, they had to try and all, but US-Iran relations are super complicated and history is pretty much a dead giveaway that there's only gonna be drama in the long run 😒. Still, I suppose Oman does have some sweet diplomatic cred, so maybe they can help smooth things over? 🤞 The fact that they focused on regional issues is good, I guess... but let's not get ahead of ourselves here... it's just talk for now 👀. Can't wait to see how this all plays out in the next few months 💥

I mean, it's about bloody time someone else was trying to get between Iran and the US 🙄. Like, we've been stuck in this cycle of tension forever. I'm not holding my breath though... these "good starts" always seem to fall flat 💔. That being said, if Oman can be a neutral third party and somehow manage to broker these talks, I suppose that's a good thing 🤞. But let's see where it actually goes from here, shall we? Not exactly the most reassuring news for global peace, but hey, every little bit counts, right? 😊

idk why they're so tense with each other, like can't they just have a chill convo 🤔? the fact that oman was able to broker talks is already a big deal - shows there's still some common ground between them. but yeah, it's great to hear that some progress was made, even if it's just a 'good start'. i mean, who doesn't love the idea of talking things out instead of just shouting matches? 🤗

its kinda weird how Iran and US are talking again after all the drama between them 🤔🇮🇷🇺🇸. i mean, its definitely a good sign that they can talk without it turning into a huge mess right off the bat 💡. but, at the same time, we gotta remember that there's still so much mistrust and tension between them 😐. idk if these talks are just a stepping stone to something bigger or just a way for both sides to pretend like everything is okay 🤷‍♀️. anyway, i guess its better than nothing 💕. lets just hope they can take it from here and actually make some progress on those regional issues 👀.

🤝 I'm kinda surprised by this development, but at the same time it's not entirely out of left field. I mean, both Iran and the US need each other on some level, whether it's economic or geopolitical interests. It's all about finding common ground, right? 🤔 The fact that Oman played a mediating role is interesting too - they've always been pretty diplomatic when it comes to regional affairs. Maybe this is the start of something bigger, who knows? But for now, let's just say I'm keeping an eye on things. 🕰️
