Israel says it will return to ceasefire after Gaza strikes

The Israeli military announced on Sunday that it would resume enforcing the ceasefire in Gaza after launching air strikes in response to what it called Hamas's "blatant violation" of the deal. The strikes began in southern Gaza after the Israeli military said that terrorists fired an anti-tank missile and gunfire toward its troops in Rafah, killing two soldiers.

The incident occurred hours before a planned visit to Gaza by US Secretary of State Antony Blinken. No official statement was given on whether this would be affected by the renewed strikes.

Residents in southern Gaza reported seeing plumes of smoke rising above Khan Younis as Israeli warplanes targeted areas under Hamas control, with many saying it felt like they were living in a "war zone".

The violence was sparked after Israeli troops said that Hamas militants fired rockets towards them. The Israeli military responded by carrying out air strikes on what it called Hamas targets across Gaza.

Hamas denied any involvement and claimed to be unaware of the clashes in Rafah, which has been under Israeli control since 2005.

This is getting all too familiar πŸ˜”... another flare-up over Gaza, just like back in 2014 🀯. I remember how we were glued to our screens, watching the news unfold, and wondering when it would all end. πŸ“Ί The cycle of violence always seems to repeat itself, with the Israeli military launching strikes and Hamas responding with more rocket fire... it's like Groundhog Day, but the stakes are so much higher πŸ’₯.

I'm not sure what's changed since 2005, but it feels like we're still stuck in this same old loop πŸ”„. Blinken was supposed to visit Gaza today, but I doubt that'll happen now 😐. The residents of southern Gaza are really living through this, and I can only imagine how terrifying it must be to live under constant threat of attack πŸ’”.

It's heartbreaking to think about the young lives lost on both sides πŸ€•... can't we just find a way to coexist peacefully? πŸŒŽπŸ’–

Ugh, can you even imagine living in a place where the sound of war is like background noise 🀯?! The fact that the Israeli military launched air strikes in response to some pretty minor incident is just so concerning 😟. It feels like we're stuck in this never-ending cycle of violence and retaliation. And what's really worrying is that it happened just hours before a US Secretary of State was supposed to visit Gaza πŸ€”. Like, how do you plan for peace when there's always going to be another crisis brewing?! πŸ€·β€β™€οΈ

I'm also feeling kinda sad for the civilians who have to deal with this ongoing conflict πŸ’”. They're not even fighting on either side, they just want to live their lives in peace and security 🌱. It's like we need to take a step back and think about what we can do to actually bring about some real change here 🀝. Can't we all just try to get along for once? 😊

πŸ€” so basically israel's all over gaza again right? like they can't even follow a ceasefire and now people are getting killed πŸŒͺ️ it's crazy how these conflicts just keep going on and on...

i mean i don't know what the deal is with hamas but you gotta wonder why israel keeps launching air strikes when nothing really seems to be working out for them πŸ’₯ and then the whole thing gets blown up because of some anti-tank missiles 🀯 it's like these conflicts are just loops that never end

anyway i'm kinda worried about blinken's visit now... israel gonna mess it up or something? 🀞 we should really get more info on what's going down there before we start speculating too much πŸ’‘

I'm so done with these ceasefires πŸ™„... Like, can't we just have a moment of peace already?! 😩 The fact that Israel feels the need to bomb Gaza again after the ceasefire is just so frustrating. I mean, two soldiers get killed and suddenly it's all about enforcing the deal? What even does that mean?! πŸ€” It's like they're trying to control every aspect of people's lives in Gaza.

And can we talk about how this happens right before Antony Blinken was supposed to visit?! 🚫 Like, what's the point of any diplomacy if you're just gonna go and drop bombs on someone else's territory? πŸ’£ I'm so tired of these cycles of violence... We need to find a better way to resolve our conflicts without hurting innocent people. πŸ’”

πŸ€” so they're gonna resume enforcing the ceasefire after launching those airstrikes... that's a pretty big move, you know? I'm not sure what to make of it yet. On one hand, I get why they felt threatened by Hamas's actions in Rafah - can't have terrorists firing at their troops, right? 😬

But on the other hand, doesn't this just give Israel an excuse to keep escalating things in Gaza? Like, isn't the ceasefire meant to be a way to calm things down, not escalate them even more? πŸ€·β€β™‚οΈ I'm also kinda concerned about what's gonna happen with Blinken's visit now - is it gonna get cancelled or delayed because of all this violence? πŸ’₯ And what's really going on between Israel and Hamas, anyway? They're both denying involvement... sounds like a pretty big cover-up to me 🀐

omg u guys I'm literally shaking thinking about this 🀯 what's happening in gaza rn is soooo scary 😱 i mean i know we should support israel and all but come on who shoots an anti tank missile at ppl they're not even soldiers πŸ€·β€β™€οΈ it sounds like hamas is just trying to protect themselves i feel bad for the ppl of gaza living thru this πŸ’” can't wait to see what antony blinken says about it 🀞 btw has anyone seen the latest vids from israel? πŸ“Ή

πŸ€” come on, is it too much to expect some stability in the Middle East? I mean, these airstrikes are just gonna fuel more hatred & create a cycle of violence that's hard to break 🚫. And what's with all the 'terrorism' labels thrown around? It feels like an excuse for Israel to keep its grip on Gaza πŸ”’. Blinken should be like, "Hey, let's get in there and have a chat about this" instead of just showing up & leaving πŸ€·β€β™‚οΈ. And btw, what's the point of having a ceasefire if it can be broken like that? It feels like we're just playing a game of chicken with a loaded gun πŸš—πŸ’₯

I'm not sure about this renewed ceasefire enforcement thing... feels like just another cycle of violence to me πŸ€”. These air strikes are gonna cause a lot of harm to innocent civilians, you know? They're already living in a war zone, can't imagine what it'd be like if actual bombs started falling from the sky πŸŒͺ️. Blinken's visit was supposed to bring some much-needed diplomacy, but now that's just getting cancelled out by these strikes πŸ˜”. And Hamas denies any involvement, but how are we s'posed to know who's telling the truth here? It's all just a big mess...

Just saw this news 🚨... I mean, have you guys seen the stats on ceasefire breaches lately? Apparently, the last ceasefire deal was breached like 37 times already πŸ“Š! The Israeli military is trying to enforce it now, but honestly, it feels like a never-ending cycle πŸ”. According to Google Trends, searches for "Gaza conflict" are up by 50% this month compared to last year 😬. Meanwhile, the US Secretary of State's visit was supposed to be a big deal, but I guess the strikes took priority 🚫. Did you know that the average daily population in Gaza is around 2 million people? That's like 4 times the entire population of Rhode Island! πŸ’₯ The latest stats show that over 3,000 civilians were killed in Gaza last year alone 🀯... yeah, it's a tough situation all around πŸ˜•.

just saw this news 🚨 and its all so senseless. i mean whats next gonna be israel is just gonna keep hitting gaza till nobody's left standing there... it feels like we're living in a never ending cycle of violence. and blinken was supposed to visit too, but now that air strikes have resumed, ill probably be cancelled lol like who can even plan stuff with all this going on? 😩 anyway, cant help but think about the people stuck in the middle of all this, living their lives without any peace or security... πŸ€•

omg just saw this news 🀯🌎 i'm like totally not sure what's going on in gaza rn πŸ€” it sounds so intense 😬 those soldiers got hurt and now there are air strikes happening everywhere πŸ’₯ i feel bad for the people living in gaza they must be super scared right now 😨 also, can we talk about how weird this whole situation is? like, hamas says they didn't do anything but the israeli military is saying they did πŸ€·β€β™€οΈ it's all so confusing πŸ™„ and now there's a us sec state coming in to try and help 🌟 i hope everything gets sorted out soon πŸ’•πŸ™

I'm still trying to wrap my head around this whole situation... 🀯 The fact that the ceasefire was just paused because of some anti-tank missiles being fired towards Israeli troops feels like a classic example of how these conflicts can spiral out of control so quickly πŸ”₯. I mean, on one hand, I get why Israel would want to take action to protect its soldiers - it's their job, after all πŸ™.

But at the same time, it's hard not to wonder if this was just a pretext for some larger operation, you know? Like, what's really going on here? And what does this mean for Antony Blinken's visit? Is he just gonna show up and pretend like everything is fine when we all know that's not true πŸ˜’.

It's also got me thinking about the cycle of violence in Gaza - how it seems like no matter what Israel or Hamas do, there's always some spark waiting to set off another round of fighting πŸ’₯. It's a tough situation, but I just wish they could find a way to break this cycle and start talking to each other like human beings instead of just trading blows πŸ˜”.

omg just got some crazy news 🀯... so israel just started bombing gaza again after a ceasefire was supposed to be enforced 🚫 it's like, can't we all just get along? πŸ’• i'm low-key worried about the civilians getting caught in the crossfire πŸ™ and i hope blinken doesn't end up stuck in the middle of this mess 😩 how are they even supposed to enforce a ceasefire when they're already escalating tensions? 🀯 it's like a big ol' game of cat and mouse... πŸ’» what's next gonna be a full-blown war on our watch? 🚨

I'm seeing a lot of drama unfolding over here 🀯. I get that both sides are upset, but let's try to stay calm, right? 😐 The situation is already super volatile with Blinken's visit and all. One thing that really gets me is how quickly the situation escalated into this mess. Like, two soldiers got killed in an anti-tank missile attack... shouldn't we be focusing on finding ways to prevent these kinds of incidents? πŸ€” And what about the 2005 thing in Rafah? That's a major point of contention, but also something that feels super complicated and old-school. Can't we just try to find some common ground here? πŸ’¬ Let's not jump to conclusions or make things worse.

omg i cant believe this is happening again 😱 those israeli airstrikes are so senseless people in gaza dont deserve to live like that it feels like theyre trapped in some kinda war zone 🌫️ i hope the us sec of state guy blinken gets there safely and can do something about this mess i feel bad for him having to deal with all this drama πŸ’” those hamas militants might be firing rockets but israel is the one getting more aggro 😀 it feels like the whole thing just keeps going around in circles πŸ”„
